Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. - 3John 1:2 (ESV)

I woke up today and genuinely hoped that there would be some nonpolitical heresy to sink my teeth into and the Calamari Queen delivered at the above link. In this video discussion, Jennifer LeClaire interviews someone she calls "Apostle Robert Henderson" about "unlocking wealth from the courts of heaven." Thank you Jennifer for getting back to the business of fleecing the flock so we can all have a moment away from the political morass. LeClaire opens up the interview with:

"I have good news for you today. There is no recession in heaven. There is no economic downturn in heaven. There is only prosperity in heaven and God wants you to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. I'm not a prosperity preacher but thank God I'm not a poverty preacher either!" - Jennifer LeClaire

Yes Jennifer, there is no recession heaven. No economic downturn. Then again there is no money. This opening is typical of prosperity preachers and while Jennifer claims to not be one, she sure knows the shtick. This is designed to lull people into a false foundation. The verse she references is set as the key verse today from 3John. While it is true that some translations use the word prosper, it was not intended the way Jennifer and her faux apostle friend use it. We can see here from the ESV version "prosper" simply means that "all may go well with you." Saying there is no recession in heaven gets a huge "Amen" from the crowd but it simply means nothing Jennifer is inferring for the lives we must live here on earth. Here are some of the opening low lights from the apostle guy:

I discovered there were legal cases that the enemy had against me that were keeping me from prospering on the level God wanted me to prosper. Daniel 7:10 shows us that there is a real court in heaven. When Jesus taught on prayer in Luke 11 and 18 He put prayer in three dimensions - approaching God as Father, as friend, and in Luke 18, as judge. People say, "I don't want to come before the judge, that's scary." Well not if you realize He's actually asking us to come before Him to present evidence in the courts that gives Him the right to judge principalities and powers. That gives Him the right to judge every enemy that is resisting our breakthrough." - Robert Henderson

Uh-huh. Let's start with the usage of "court" in Daniel. Yes it is indeed correct that God gave Daniel this vision of a court but that is where any attribution to this false theology ends. The images given to Daniel have absolutely nothing to do with the enemy holding things against you to prevent your prospering. That is entirely made up Charismatic gobbledygook. I wish he had expounded more on the three dimensions of prayer but that aside, the really egregious part is this notion of God needing permission to do something. So according to this "apostle", God has no right to judge principalities and powers without our help by providing evidence of some sort that exposes the schemes of the enemy? Seriously? Does God need evidence? Is He not omniscient? What is theologically sleazy however is to set up a guilt trap that says if we are not rolling in dough it must be because we have not presented evidence to God that would give Him the right to judge the enemies resisting our breakthrough. Right. Jennifer now asks the "apostle" what kind of legal rights the enemy can have over our finances.
