How Many Heresies Can Kris Vallotton Fit into One Teaching?

Heresy number three is the false ability to declare and decree. This is a staple of the word faith teaching. Beloved we must understand that almost every false teaching can be traced back and reduced down to the same sin Lucifer was cast out of heaven for. The same sin he then tempted Eve with in the Garden. To be God. The sin of usurpation is when we take a God characteristic or power and claim it for ourselves. It is God alone that has the power of creation in His words -- not us!

(as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed--God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; - Romans 4: 17 (NKJV)

I have heard Joel Osteen cite this verse as proof that we can call things that are not as though they were but that is absolutely not what the text says here. It is God alone who can declare and decree things. Now, if you want to declare the promises of God through the verity of Scripture go for it. That is not what we are talking about here. Kris Vallotton thinks he has the power to prophetically declare "we" are entering Reformation 2.0. Once again "feeling" God told him so. But He did not beloved. Now Vallotton moves into his example from the Bible and in doing so we find heresy number four -- Bible twisting. Beloved the Bible is word of almighty God. To misrepresent what He said is just as egregious as the false prophets of old who would be stoned to death from such a transgression. Vallotton recounts the story found in our key verses today.

"Then Jesus asked him a question. I think this is a question we all need to ask ourselves--do we want to get well? Some people go to the doctor or the healing rooms and never get well because they come with hopelessness and the expectation that they will leave that place sick. This is because they've learned how to live and cope with the pain. Many people come to the of pool promise but hopelessness reduces them to the pallet of pain. However, Jesus wants to take your pallet of pain and transform it into pulpit of purpose! Today is the day your pain is supposed to go, and I want to encourage you to pick up your pallet and walk!" -- Kris Vallotton

Heresy number five is the favorite of Steven Furtick -- Narcigesis. This is the unbiblical practice of reading ourselves into the text. Now, we might be so vain that we actually think the Bible is about us but it is not. It is about Jesus Christ. You are not David staring down your Goliath. If we are anyone it is the cowering Israelites! This story is not here so we can ask ourselves if we want to get healed. That takes the focus off of the Savior and places it squarely upon ourselves. Heresy number six can also just be considered a technique but there is usually a smattering of pious sounding nonsense designed to make us going ooh and ahh unless we happened to have an open Bible. Beloved there is no such thing as the pool of promise in our lives. There is no such thing as the pallet of pain or the pulpit of purpose. These are all made up in the wickedly deceitful heart of Kris Vallotton. What is the big deal? Remember his claim was God told him all of this! Heresy number seven is known as the "spiritual onesie." I recall once watching Joel Osteen (so you don't have to!) on New Year's Day. He claimed that this was the year of spiritual breakthrough and prosperity. I remember thinking; all of them? There were 50,000 in attendance and millions watching via media and no one was going to be in the valley that year? Wow is that ridiculous. That is a spiritual onesie -- when one size fits all. According to Kris Vallotton, today is the day your pain is supposed to go! What happens to all of the people who try to walk out this faith and fail Kris? How many people's faiths have you destroyed with this asinine teaching?

"I encourage you to step into the pain because God wants to heal you, not numb you." -- Kris Vallotton

Heresy number eight is a favorite of Bethel and Bill Johnson as well as many other false teachers. This heresy is that God MUST heal us always. Remember what we said earlier about usurpation. God has the power to heal and the Spirit on occasion may use us to express the gift of healing but God is not mandated to do anything according to man. That would completely rob him of His sovereignty. I also find it odd that Bill Johnson, who wears corrective eyeglasses, believes God always must heal us. One of their proofs is to claim that Jesus healed everyone He came in contact with and the irony is the scriptural example Vallotton used today debunks that. In our key verses you will see that there were a multitude of invalids--blind, lame, and paralyzed. Yet how many were healed? Just the one Jesus chose to heal.

"When you're walking out of pain it's important to create a culture of wholeness around you. Don't listen to sad music or watch sad movies when you are processing through your pain. Don't sing songs to your pain, but rather sing songs to your victory! Don't minister to your pain or make it comfortable! Don't try to live with it, rather make sure you're working through it and getting it out. The Bible says we WALK through the valley, so don't stop and camp out there. So how do you do this?" -- Kris Vallotton
