David Lane is an American History revisionist member of NAR dominionism. His sole goal is in conquering the cultural mountain of government and is quite shameless and heretical in doing so. We must understand the nature of the beast we are dealing with. There are preachers who are caught up in NAR dominionism. They preach the idolization and worship of this country. I remember John Hagee once famously preached that if you didn't like hearing "Merry Christmas", you should get on the next plane and "get outta my country." Odd evangelical plan I must admit. Besides preachers however there are political operatives disguised as Christians. These are folks like James Dobson, Ralph Reed and Franklin Graham. David Lane is chief among this second group. He runs a sham outfit known as the American Renewal Project and his latest nonsense is linked above where he tries to defend the current administration party line on mask shaming. Let us reason once more together beloved.

"If you are between the ages of 20 and 40, your risk of dying from COVID-19 is the same as your chance of dying from playing football. If you're between the ages of 15 and 24, you're more likely to be fatally afflicted by falling down the stairs than by COVID-19. Kids under 15 have more chance of getting hit by lightning than of dying from COVID-19. Healthy women under 40, your odds of dying from COVID-19 are about the same as dying from a plane crash. "If you're under the age of 65, the chance of dying of COVID-19 ... is the same risk you face driving on your commute to work." This is how John Ioannidis, M.D., professor of medicine of health research and policy and of biomedical data science at Stanford University School of Medicine, presents the insignificant risk posed by the "deadly and novel" virus." - David Lane

There are 200,000 people who are dead in this country from COVID but they apparently do not matter to David Lane because they could have just as easily died doing some other benign task. The logic here is asinine and callous. It spits on the dead and trivializes their lives but their lives meant something to God. You see, all of what David lists are accidents. If there were a way to prevent plane crashes I am pretty sure most would want to comply before they boarded. The virus we face is not a happenstance event such as playing a game of football. It can be prevented. The other point Lane misses is the idiocy of these comparisons. He is comparing mortality rates be fails to realize that the very reason why the rates are as low as they are is due to the very steps he wants to eliminate. We all quarantined, wore masks, and stopped gathering in large groups and the mortality rate has been kept low so the logical thing is to stop doing the things that led to a low mortality rate? This is what Christians and political operatives should stay in their lane. At least right off the bat we can see that David Lane is a hack and does not know what he is talking about.

'The six-month manic COVID-19 campaign--driven by Big Pharma's panic for profit, aided and abetted by un-American censorship from Big Tech's Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and a drumbeating mainstream media--has reached the point where if people were told to get into boxcars to be taken to "Virus Protection Camps," many would rush to get in line. The bottom line, Dr. Blaylock says, is that if you are not sick, you should not wear a face mask. He added, "[No credible scientific study has] established a conclusive relationship between mask use and protection against influenza infection [read: COVID-19]."' - David Lane

Lane and NAR rely heavily upon rabid conspiracy theories to drive up fear amidst the church. So suddenly the media, Big Pharma, Amazon, Facebook, Apple and Google are working in concert to make people wear masks. No analysis is offered up as to WHY these entities would do such. They also rely upon the division foisted upon this country by people in politics, such as the very people they support. There has been no greater sower of division than the current president. As for Dr. Blaylock, who has apparently become a doctor for the cause of conspiracy theories, he presents the wrong argument as a strawman argument. The purpose for wearing the mask is not to protect the healthy from getting sick but rather to prevent the sick from infecting the healthy. The other gaping hole in his rationale is that this virus has an incubation period of up to 14 days. That means that someone can seem "healthy" for two weeks while actually spreading the virus to everyone they come in contact with. This recently happened in Millinocket Maine, which had zero COVID cases until a wedding in July. At that wedding was one person who was asymptomatic and attended the maskless wedding and now the entire town is infected, a local prison, and counties as far as 200 miles away. That is why we wear masks and you would think a doctor should know better. This I what happens when your agenda is driven by politics and not the truth.

'You might be thinking, Why have we not each and every winter worn masks as protection from the flu? Linda Johnston, M.D., spells out, "The coronavirus is about 100 nanometers in diameter. Cloth mask 'holes' are 1,000 times larger than a virus. An analogy is used that a mask is like a mosquito getting through a chain link fence. It's actually much worse, it's a mosquito getting through a chain link fence with holes 14 yards in diameter." Regarding the question what might be going on in America, Steven F. Hotze, M.D., has this to say: "The purpose of masks is to break your will, destroy your individuality and make you submissive to tyrannical government bureaucrats [Fauci] and leftists [blue state governors and mayors]. First you lose your identity and then you lose your freedom." The medical mantra to make masks matter beyond their measure, mindlessly multiplied by the mass media, has mandated a state of muted "maskism," or rather masked "mutism," where assertions are unquestioned and misgivings remain unanswered.

Before attempting to make spiritual application, we go 43 years back to the days before this writer got converted. Would you have known David Lane then, you would have thought, "I cannot imagine anyone in the world less likely to be saved by Christ! It will be near impossible to find someone more irresponsible, more heedless, more ungodly than him."' - David Lane

I have read many studies that debunk this assertion about mask efficacy. That part is at least trying to make sense. The real problem here is this paranoid notion, published on an alleged Christian website, that asserts the real reason for asking people to wear masks is to break your will and get you to succumb to the government. They offer up for this example Dr. Fauci, who the last time I checked was not president. The very people Lane wants us to vote for are currently in charge! So either his conspiracy is product of the people he wants you to vote for or it has no merit. As for the silliness of masks being a freedom busting government plot, ask Herman Cain what he thinks. Oh right, he is dead weeks after attending the president's rally in Oklahoma where no one wore masks. Ask Virginia pastor Gerald Glenn who defied the demands of his government and preached the virus was a hoax. Yep, dead as well. There are countless stories throughout Churchianity and this country of people who bought into these crazy theories and either they end up dead or infecting other people.

"This once again brings us to Gov. Gavin Newsom. Over the past few months, we have pointed out the sullied history, irrepressible arrogance and questionable character of the 52-year-old Newsom, as seemingly closely affiliated with the serpent of Gath in 1 Samuel 17. Goliath's strutting encroachment of Israel and blasphemous taunting echo Newsom's malevolent manifesto of declaring California churches "non-essential," while classifying liquor stores, marijuana distribution centers and abortion clinics as "essential." If Christians are to sustain freedom and liberty for their children and grandchildren, a serious change of impact will be required." - David Lane

Wow. So the Governor of California is Goliath of Gath? Seriously? First to the stupidity of this analogy. Goliath spread fear because he was real. His size was real. The danger he posed was real. So if Lane wants to state the virus is real, big, strong and like a ten foot giant - he is finally getting closer to the truth. He is right in that fear is the trademark of tyrants. Just watch any of the commercials for his chosen candidate. Lane cannot see his own hypocrisy when it stands before him because he is nothing more than a carnal, political shill. Newsom is not trying to gain control of the public square, which is straight up NAR code-speak. He is Governor, he already has the public square. This is our "Kairos (another NAR code-speak word) moment" to obey. This is our moment to follow Romans 13 and be obedient. The NAR and David Lane have other plans:

For a while it will be possible that you, like David, may be able to soothe or satisfy radically secular elected officials and government bureaucrats by playing your spiritual harp. But the moment you raise your head in opposition to their wanton and unrestrained abuse of power, and despotic misappropriation of authority, they will take aim at you. Or as Alan Redpath expressed it: "You will discover that the place of rejection by others is the place of acceptance by God."' - David Lane

As part of the dividing of America the NAR loves to provide boogeymen to blame for all societal ills and the church falls for it every time. Pastors who follow the bible, including Romans 13 are not sitting out the battle. They are not playing a harp or any other absurd analogy you can make. It is borderline embarrassing to have to keep pointing this out but these individual little silos that have been built through purpose driven dreams of celebrity cult of personality pastors are not the church. That hour and a half on Sundays is not the whole of Christianity. Those that simply cannot get by without their hour and a half fix have been led astray by hireling teachers. I loved my church building but it is just a building. It will fade away as everything else will in this world the NAR is so infatuated with. We are the church. Do not get sucked into fighting culture wars that Christ never asked you to be involved with.

'We'll find the answer to wanting to know what to do in Ronald Greer's If You Know Who You Are, You Will Know What to Do. He tells of the dark days of Nazi usurpation of Holland with Gestapo everywhere and Jews vanishing. Dutch Christians asked Dutch reformed theologian, linguist and missionary Hendrik Kraemer (1888-1965) what they should do. The missionary responded, "I cannot tell you what to do, but I can tell you who you are. If you know who you are, then you will know what to do." He then read to the fearful Christians the words first spoken to the equally fearful Christians in 1 Peter 2:9: "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a people claimed by God as His own, to proclaim the triumphs of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Whereupon the people thanked the missionary, departed and started the Dutch underground resistance movement. Neither needing yet another political rally nor a prayer march around the Capitol, what America really needs is a Joel 1:13 call for lamentation and repentance over what we, pastors and churchgoers, have allowed to let happen in a nation "founded for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith."' - David Lane

What a shame because a Christian finds their answer to wanting to know what to do in scripture. Take the key scriptures for today as an example. They tell us what to do regarding our behavior and speech towards those who are not saved. If you think that the best use of our time is found in lunatic conspiracy theories that make a mockery of Christianity I can assure you that you are mistaken. If you think gracious seasoned speech is to call people you find disagreement with Goliath of Gath or serpents, I can again tell you that you are mistaken. If you think you should answer each person by slapping them across the face as Mr. Lane likes to do, yes, you are again mistaken. You see the problem here is David Lane keeps focusing on the world that behaves like the world. They do not need divisive politics of carnal saviors in the White House. They only need the Gospel, as they are unsaved. It is the church that must repent David. All we have to do is peruse the very website that promotes your nonsense. Charisma News is a cesspool of false teaching and false prophecy wrapped up in NAR dominionism. Yet from that platform you extend your bony finger at everyone else and say they are to blame. No David, you are.

There is no massive fireball heading our way. Just a national reckoning. Just a carnal, political reckoning. The church should yawn at such because it matters not to the cause of the Gospel. When all you do is focus on the world and dream about conquering its mountains it is no wonder that you begin to fear everything that might poke a hole in the Shangri-La you have envisioned. It is really a shame because this article got away from David Lane. Do you remember what it was about? Facemasks! Beloved, there is no grand conspiracy rob your nebulous freedom by asking you to wear a mask. This virus is real and 200,000 mourning families can explain it to you. Yes that number could have been higher if not for people wearing masks and socially distancing. To decide now that because the number is low in your opinion that people should stop wearing the masks that caused the low number is just stupid. To do so under the banner of Christianity is to damage the witness for the Gospel. Period.
