NAR Declares National Grift, I mean Shift, Has Arrived

By Anthony Wade

More "shifty" language from the NAR dominionist crowd...

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. - Romans 1:16 (ESV)

"Numerous prophetic voices have declared a shift is coming. It actually has already begun. Last weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Flashpoint LIVE and Mario Murillo hosted a two-day crusade called Awake Oklahoma. In October last year, when the planning for this event began, some said the Mabee Center would never fill up. (It holds 10,000 people when maxed out.) Not only did the arena fill up on both nights, but on the second night we filled the overflow room with another 2,000 people. Approximately 3,000 people came forward to receive Christ, and hundreds, perhaps thousands, were miraculously healed. What just happened? There has been a shift." - Charisma News

When the apostate church refers to prophetic voices they are referring to false prophets. The same gaggle of false prophets who wrongly prophesied a presidential victory for Donald Trump in 2020. The same flippant gaggle who thinks it is ok to actually be wrong about what the creator of the universe has and has not said. Mario Murillo is not just a false prophet. He is a grifter, like most in the NAR. He likes his spotlight and place of prominence within the churchianity system. He has a certain level of fame and notoriety. He is asked to headline Christian events. Mario has been busy lately pimping this notion that revival is just a heartbeat away for this country when it most certainly is not. The bible promises so such end times revival but rather a great end times apostasy, which Mario is a part of. Above all things, Mario is a dominionist. He worships this country, not God. He is in the camp of those who believe if the unsaved would just behave a little better than maybe God will stay His wrath. Spoiler alert! He won't.

So, in this rabid pursuit of a false revival, the NAR likes to use power Christian words to rile up their base. Remember, an excited and involved base tends to give a lot more to the cause. One such power word is "shift." We hear this used all of the time in NAR vernacular. It is often associated with the "atmosphere" and indicates that something big has or is about to change. Let's examine why Murillo is trying so hard to convince you of this shift. The first claim is that over 12,000 people showed up for an event he held recently. Was this event in the well-known liberal bastion of San Francisco? Maybe in uber-liberal New York City? How about Sin-City itself, Las Vegas? Nope, it was held in Tulsa Oklahoma, one of the top ten most religious states in the country. Is it really so surprising that in the heart of dominionist Trump country that 12K would turn out for a political-religious event to tell them how right they are about everything in this country? When Murillo says that 3000 people "came forward" to receive Christ you know he is speaking in clear purpose-driven, seeker-friendly verbiage. The cold harsh reality is that the key verse reminds us that only through the gospel is one saved. So, attending a political rally disguised as a Christian event and answering an altar call for such means nothing. 3000 people came forward after hearing a political speech, not the gospel.

"Of the event, evangelist Mario Murillo said, "The biggest implication of this event in Tulsa is radical change. The clear message here is 'Don't wait.'" What does he mean? The time is now. What many thought would take years to begin has begun. It is because the overwhelming majority of Americans are fed up with the transformation of America from a first-world country to a country subservient to others as our government officials work to destroy our nation with ongoing mandates and shutdowns. We watched as these policies created rising inflation and unsustainable spending of our tax dollars, bringing recession to our doorstep. We watch, it seems almost helplessly, as they work to manufacture famine to further control us and create dependence on the very ones who have orchestrated this entire debacle." - Charisma News

So perverted are the dominionists in their zeal to idol worship that they give up the game quite easily. Murillo does not try and dupe anyone. Realize he calls these gathering "crusades" yet look at why people show up to his events! Is it the overwhelming draw of the Holy Spirit? The weight of their sins bearing down upon them and the need for a lighter yoke? Nope. The "shift" is determined by a lot of people who are admittedly not happy about some self-perceived transformation of the country they live in! What seems to be the prevailing gripe? That the government demanded safety protocols during a worldwide pandemic. That is followed by at best, a poor understanding of the economy. This is what happens when you get your talking points from a political party. Either way, I hope by now you are asking yourself what in the world does this have to do with the cause of Christ? The answer of course is nothing. Yet here was Mario Murillo holding a Christian crusade to discuss how he does not like the governmental direction the country is heading in. Translation? He is upset that his preferred party is not in power.

"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD" (Ps. 27:13-14, NASB1995). What they don't understand is the God factor. What we saw in Tulsa on April 21 and 22 is the true indicator. It wasn't a typical Christian-attended crusade. This was different. Those who came were people fed up with the direction in which our country is being taken. People crying out for change. Those who flooded the altars both nights were not just those rededicating their lives to Christ, but also many who had never before given their lives to Christ." - Charisma News

I just want to reiterate here the unbelievable disconnect Murillo cannot see. He held a crusade, for people fed up with their government. Not their sin. Not the spiritual state of their church. These people were crying out for political change. They want to change the President. They want to change the leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives. Yet somehow, Mario Murillo believes this is what "giving your life to Christ" looks like. Except it doesn't. You cannot go to a political rally, hear speakers tell you all the people who are to blame for the current state of their lives in this country and as a response, somehow give your life to Jesus Christ. The gospel has nothing to do with the Republican Party.

"Consider that it was almost exactly one year earlier when Clay Clark, founder of the ReAwaken America Tour with General Michael Flynn, launched their first meeting, also in Tulsa. It sold out in 48 hours with 4,000 in attendance. Clark and his team of speakers are a who's who of conservative politics such as Gen. Flynn, Roger Stone, Dr. Simone Gold, Leigh Dundas, Eric Trump, Charlie Kirk, Mike Lindell, Dr. Stella Immanuel and many more. What was the common denominator of the two very different events? Both had an attendance of a mix of conservatives and moderates " definitely not just Christians " who were fed up with the direction in which our present leadership has hijacked our nation. In both sets of meetings, people have come to Christ by the hundreds and thousands. Can we acknowledge a shift has taken place?" -Charisma News

Do you mean the General Flynn convicted twice of lying to the FBI? Dirty trickster Roger Stone convicted of seven felonies? Political hack Kirk? Known hucksters in Lindell and Immanuel? These grifters and political operatives are who you think are behind a shift from God Almighty? Being fed up with the direction of a country is not a predicate for salvation. This is what the poison of dominionism does to people who fancy themselves Christian. They conflate the profane with the holy. They start to think that legislation instead of salvation leads one to heaven. These folks are not coming to Christ. They are coming to political speech with some Christianisms thrown in for good cover.

"This move is here because people are coming to the recognition that God is our only hope. The "remnant," once small, has become a mighty army and continues to grow. Hank Kunneman said after the Tulsa meetings, "There is a divine shift taking place. I believe that there is coming a mark of God that will come upon your life. That will preserve you, your marriage, your finances, your family and will preserve our nation. "We demand that there is a shift in the spirit realm over this nation. We demand that the winds of change blow greater. "There is a tangible shift and we will see it with our eyes. Now may your eyes be opened to see a fresh perspective of what God is doing and what God has said," he finished." - Charisma News

Kunneman is just another NAR dominionist but demand? Who the heck does he think he is? It is not surprising because when you create god in your own political image it is no wonder that you think you can place demands upon him. What if God does not agree with your demands for a "shift?" What if He does not share your belief that the Republican Party is the solution for all that ails us? Demanding for the winds of change? Beloved, we do not place any demands upon God Almighty. This is arrogant, self-centered theology that is biblically vacuous and carnally driven. Murillo, Kunneman and the NAR have long decided to get into bed with one political party and they confer righteousness upon it that it does not have nor deserves. One dominionist recently said that all Democrats are irredeemable and hell-bound. That dominionist was Mario Murillo! Do not listen to these grifters and carnal merchants. This is not the church. This is not the gospel.

'Ron McIntosh, one of the event coordinators behind the Awake Oklahoma/Mario Murillo event, saw this shift coming and shares about it in detail in his upcoming book, Shift: Repositioning God's People for Revival. He got a glimpse of it three years ago as the Holy Spirit interrupted a meeting where he was speaking. As he stepped to the podium, the Lord spoke to him to speak from Ezekiel 37 regarding the valley of dry bones. When he read the scripture Ezekiel 37:10 (NIV), "So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet " a vast army," with no prompting, the congregation stood, as if on cue, and ran to the front of the altar. Some were recommitting their lives to Christ; others gave their lives to Him for the first time. "It was incredible," McIntosh said. "There was an outbreak of signs, wonders and miracles. Some as I laid my hands on people, and some happened spontaneously as people stood crying out to God."' - Charisma News

Undocumented anecdotal stories aside, this is not what those Ezekiel passages are about. They are about the restoration of exilic Israel. The church today are not captives in Babylon - they are Babylon! So, the notion that God would "tell" him to misuse His own word is ludicrous. Mind you this story he claims occurred three years earlier. Well if this was such an enormous breakthrough for the church where is the fruit today? If there were so many signs, wonders and miracles - where are they today? This is the core nature of Grifter Christianity. You create "events" and claim mighty moves of God occurred at them. You claim they are a harbinger for the elusive revival you keep selling. Yet nothing ever substantially changes in the lives of the people involved. There is no staying power. No lasting change. Just enough liver shivers to make the people attend the next event and feel the same nonsensical and unbiblical garbage they keep lapping up. Oh, and don't forget to buy your copy of the "Shift" book on your way out! Where is the residual change from Toronto in the 1990s? What is left in Pensacola? How is Lakeland Florida doing these days? The change God offers us is not fleeting. It is not goose bumps followed by a return to the old normal. I had a friend once go down to the altar for a "healing touch" from an itinerant preacher/prophetess. He was dancing across the altar after receiving his "laying of hands" for his chronic hip pain. The next week however, long after the prophetess moved onto her next church to fleece, he was still limping around the church. I asked him what happened to his healing and he sadly reported the pain came back when the adrenaline wore off. That is all the NAR dominionist apostate church can offer. Fleeting moments of adrenaline before returning to your old condition because you did not have an encounter with the living God. You just had a meeting with a huckster selling you snake oil disguised as revival. Don't fall for it.

That is the shift taking place. A hunger for God that we have not seen in years. A desperation for Him to move and free us from corruption and the evil permeating the globe creating laws to further legalize the killing of babies, as well as homosexuality and perversion. The prophets were correct; a shift was coming ...In fact, it is here." - Charisma News

Picking out two sins, no matter how abhorrent and pretending they encapsulate all sins in this world is an exercise in missing the point. All men sin and have fallen short - regardless of which political party they belong to. The evil permeating the globe is mankind in his fallen state. It includes Americans and non-Americans. It includes men and women. Young and old. Republicans and Democrats. There is only one solution for this and that is found in Christ Jesus through the preaching of the Gospel. It is not found in political tent meetings designed to foist faux revival upon this or any other nation. We can make no demands upon Almighty God - none! The only shifting Mario Murillo is behind is shifting people away from Jesus and towards his political agenda. Mark and avoid beloved. Mark and avoid.
