Mega Foolishness and Mega Biblical Illiteracy Equals Mega False Prophetess

By Anthony Wade

Following up on her silly Mega May Prophetic Word, the sneaky squid prophet is at her bible twisting best.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. -- 2Corinthians 12: 9 (ESV)

The originator of the sneaky squid spirit prophecy is at it again. False prophetess Jennifer Leclaire is again using her platform as editor at the disgraced Charisma News to promote utter foolishness disguised as prophecy. Not content with the Calamari Precognition and the angels of absolute nonsense prophecies, Leclaire had released her prophetic word for the month of May earlier in the month when she declared that God told her:

"Mega grace and mega faith equals a mega movement." -- Jennifer Leclaire

Well knock me over with a mega feather beloved! Looks like May is supposed to be Mega-May! This is the stuff of demonic stupidity. It is on the same level as holy laughter, which once swept the evangelical landscape. It is the stuff of Todd Bentley and the "Holy Spirit told me to punch you in the stomach so you can be healed of stage four pancreatic cancer" (true story). It is so offensively moronic that one would hope that Christians everywhere would discard Ms. Leclaire and her ilk into the Pentecostal trash bin, where her false prophecies belong. To buttress her silly prophecy, Leclaire has written a follow up article at the link below. Let us reason together beloved and realize that this level of discernment should be easy for us if we have an open Bible:

http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/65028-4-keys-to-press-into-your-personal-mega-move-of-god

The prophecy continues: "My grace is sufficient for you and I've given you the measure of faith. I will move on your behalf when you step out in faith and rely on My grace to obey the words I have spoken to your heart. I will make impossible things possible. I will show you ways over, around and through things that have held you back in past seasons. I will make a way for you as you release faith-filled words and appropriate My grace that dwells on the inside of you. My grace offers you supernatural favor. My grace offers you supernatural power. My grace offers you whatever you need in the moment. Release your faith to walk in My grace and you will see things move that seemed immovable. You will see Me move in ways you hoped and prayed for. You will see yourself move into a new dimension of my goodness. It's time to move." -- Jennifer Leclaire

The nonsense continues. This has all the hallmarks of today's false prophetic messages. Chock full of vague spiritual statements, semi-biblical fragments of incoherence, and the NAR buzzwords for the false signs and lying wonders crowd. First of all, it is absurd on its face that God is waiting for us to move before He will move on our behalf. This is the problem with the NAR code speak. It always turns us into little gods. God certainly is not waiting for us to obey the words He has "spoken to our heart" as much as expecting us to adhere to the words He has already written down for us in the Bible. One of the cornerstones of NAR false prophetic teachings however is experiential Christianity over sound biblical doctrine. So you are supposed to tune your heart into the God station apparently and download some fresh revelation and then follow it. How patently absurd! God did not forget anything when He wrote the Holy Scriptures beloved. Tuning our hearts into anything outside of biblical truth means we are relinquishing the surety of God for wicked deceitfulness of our own carnal hearts.

The second clear marking of an NAR false prophecy is the one size fits all nature. Notice what Jennifer is saying here. God told her to tell all of God's people that in the month of May He will find a way over, around and through the things that have been holding us back. That for everyone in the body of Christ He will make the impossible possible. He will move things we thought unmovable -- again for all of us. The entire body of Christ is supposed to move into a new dimension of the goodness of God. Besides the stunning arrogance of assuming God is holding back dimensions of goodness for us that reduces this prophecy to that of a petulant child, what is with the spiritual "onesy" (my homage to Chris Rosebrough)? Is this how prophecy works? Everyone is going to have puppies and rainbows and unicorns for May? Seriously? How does this even pass the laugh out loud test? No one in the entire church is going to struggle in May? So I guess all of the Christians in the Middle East who were due to be martyred for their faith in May will soon find themselves free to practice their faith openly? I assume based on this new dimension that underground Chinese Christians will once again be allowed to worship Christ in their homes? People like Jennifer Leclaire have no idea how insulting this false prophecy is to Christians who do not find themselves as fortunate as to live in this country.

The third clear marking of an NAR false prophecy is the flagrant disregard for mangling the Word of God. Note that Jennifer would have us believe that God said to her in support of this inane, silly, selfish prophecy that his grace is sufficient for you. This is the typical abuse you will see in a false prophecy. A biblical fragment will be used to give the appearance of piety and scriptural soundness but one must do the work of a Berean beloved. The verse that this fragment appears in is our key verse today. Let's provide the missing context:

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. -- 2Corinthians 12: 7-10 (ESV)

What Jennifer Leclaire does here is akin to Scriptural assault. These fantastic verses are the Apostle Paul first telling us about revelations God gave him of the third heaven. These are the revelations he says could cause him to become conceited. To prevent this carnal reaction, God allowed a thorn in his flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment him. This in turn forces Paul to rely upon God and reminds him of the proper order of things and avoiding conceit. Being human, Paul begged God for relief from this suffering but each time the Lord said that His grace would be sufficient for him. This forces Paul to realize that his strength in Christ is contingent upon his weakness in the natural, upon his own devices. What a beautiful and powerful set of Scriptures for all Christians to learn and be encouraged by. What does Leclaire reduce them to? A Pseudo-Christian Ponzi scheme of favor. Beloved, God's grace being sufficient for us does not promise us supernatural favor, other than a deeper reliance upon Him. Not to pursue these ways over and through our temporal problems. Quite frankly this twisting is disgusting. Jennifer would continue:

So What Does Mega Really Mean? Mega means "of the highest level of rank, excellence or importance," according to Merriam-Webster. I like some of the synonyms better: astronomical, colossal, galactic, enormous, gigantic, herculean, jumbo, king-size, monumental, supersized, tremendous, mammoth, miracles and massive. -- Jennifer Leclaire

Jennifer then relates the Biblical account of the Roman Officer who asked Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus agrees to come visit the servant but the officer responds that because of the authority Jesus has he need only speak the word and his servant would be healed. Jesus declares He has not seen faith like this in all of Israel and healed the servant right then. Great story and one that deserves better than the conclusion Jennifer gives it --

"Mega faith makes Jesus marvel!" -- Jennifer Leclaire

Ugh. This is what is known as proof texting. Jennifer's wickedly deceitful heart convinced her that God said May is Mega-May so now she scours the Bible to find anything that might support it. Abusing whatever stories she can to pretend God is really speaking when He is not. The point Jesus was making after seeing the faith of the Roman Officer is not as much about his faith as in the lack of faith He has seen from Israel. Was he impressed by the unbeliever's faith in His authority and ability to heal? Sure. Did Jesus consider this faith astronomical, colossal, or herculean? Not if you bother to read the text. The only thing mega about this is the mega twisting Jennifer does to try and leverage this story to fit her false prophecy. Unfortunately this was not the only abused Scripture:

We get the concept of mega grace from Scripture. Acts 4:33 (AMPC) tells us, "And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all." -- Jennifer Leclaire

No Jennifer. You did not get the concept of mega grace from the Bible. It came from your lying heart. It was not the mega grace of God that allowed the apostles to deliver their testimony. It was the Holy Spirit. That is the power. Before Pentecost, Peter denied knowing Christ and after he is delivering a sermon to 3000 people. That is not mega grace -- it is the Holy Spirit. The Bible makes this abundantly clear. Jesus did not say wait in Jerusalem so that His mega-grace could be poured out.

When I look through Scripture, I see the patriarchs moving. Abraham moved. Isaac moved. Jacob moved. Judah moved. Joseph moved. Moses moved. Goliath moved--but then David moved and God moved! Here are four ways to press into a mega move in your life: - Jennifer Leclaire

You have got to be kidding me. Jennifer Leclaire now insults the collective intelligence of her audience. So her false prophecy has the word "move" and look! People in the Bible moved! Whoa. This must be form God, except of course, everyone moves at some point in their lives don't they? Most people move multiple times. Here are Jennifer's four tips for pressing in; whatever that means:

1) Get ready to press. There will be resistance to your mega move. You have to be willing to press. In Philippians 4:12-14, Paul said, "Not that I have already attained or have already been perfected, but I follow after it so that I may lay hold of that for which I was seized by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not count myself to have attained, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." -- Jennifer Leclaire

Jennifer is not yet done mangling Scripture in pursuit of her carnal prophecy. First of all this portion of Scripture comes from Philippians Three, not Philippians Four. Secondly, this key is part of the NAR playbook. Prepare people for the inevitability of someone pointing out how unbiblical this all is. Jennifer is saying you have to press past them, you know just like Paul advises; except that is not quite what Paul is saying. Beloved the high calling of God in Christ Jesus is not found in silly, empty prophecies designed to tickle and scratch our itching ears. Regaling us with stories about supernatural favor and making the impossible possible. This also follows a section about our righteousness through faith in Christ. That is what Paul is saying is not perfected. That is why he is saying he has to not look at past successes but rather continue on towards the goal. We know that Jennifer just Googled "Bible verses with the word "press" and voila! How transparent.

2) Lay aside the weights. The old baggage has to go. The limiting beliefs have to go. The fear has to go. Hebrews 12:1-4 tells us, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith." -- Jennifer Leclaire

More NAR code speak. The "limiting beliefs" refers to sound biblical doctrine. The usual refrain is that other people try to put "God in a box" and you have to walk away from those limiting beliefs. I understand why they must include this caveat because anyone with an open Bible and a fifth grade reading comprehension can see that what they are promoting is unbiblical. Just like there was no sneaky squid spirit and there are no angels of abundant harvest, May has not been declared Mega May by God. In case you were wondering, she did not use the Hebrews verses correctly either.

3) Consider your thoughts, words and deeds. Everything you think, say and do either moves you close to God's will or away from it. What are your thoughts moving you toward? What are your words moving you toward? What are your actions moving you toward? Your last movement is a result of your thoughts, words and deeds. -- Jennifer Leclaire

This smells oddly like the word faith heresy so maybe Jennifer is expanding her borders but the truth is that what we think and do will have an effect on our actions. Our words reinforce but of course do not create the reality that true word-faithers teach. The sad irony here is Jennifer cannot see how it is things like her false prophecies about mega months and cephalopod spirits that drive people away from Christ because God never said such absurdity. Jennifer concludes:

4) Dream wild. Imagine the possibilities of what God could do. Luke 1:37 tells us, "Nothing is impossible with God." And Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us." -- Jennifer Leclaire

Sigh. This has been such a horrific slew of contorted Scripture that we may as well end with two more. Nothing is impossible with God is from the foretelling of the virgin birth and the pregnancy of the formerly barren Elizabeth. Yes, I am sure God included this vital passage in the story of the birth of our Savior so that Jennifer Leclaire could promise over two thousand years later that May means mega. Ugh again. The Ephesians verse shows that not only can Jennifer Leclaire not handle the Word correctly but there may be a comprehension problem as well. The verse she quotes explains the condition for God doing exceedingly abundantly beyond what we can ask or imagine and it has nothing to do with dreaming wild. It is due according to the power of God within us. This dream wild and imagine the possibilities angle are another core teaching within the NAR false signs and lying wonders church. The typical response when someone holds up a Bible to their wild claims is -- God could! You say that God manifested signs of gold dust, gemstones, angel feathers and glory clouds? My Bible doesn't seem to teach any of that? God could man! Don't put God in a box!

Except God put Himself in the box known as Scripture beloved. He did so because He knows how wickedly deceitful our hearts are. He knows that unchecked we would invent things from holy laughter to sneaky squid spirits. From angels of abundant harvest to mega-May. It is time for the body of Christ to start maturing beyond such inane babble. Actually, it is time for the church to mega-mature beyond such mega-babble.

Either that or watch out for that mega-squid.
