No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. -- John 15: 15 (ESV)

He is at it again. Mega-heretic Kris Vallotton from the cesspool that is Bethel Church has written another blog post revealing further the depraved mind of false teacher. Most false teachers you can pin down to a primary deception but Vallotton is a new breed who ascribes to nearly every false teaching there is and rolls them into his hybrid form of Christianity. A firm NAR adherent, Vallotton also ascribes to the prosperity gospel, false signs and lying wonders, word faith, and experiential Christianity; just to name a few. His enemy is the Bible and anyone who insists on reliance upon the Bible. This has never been more obvious than in the link above entitled, "I'm Tired of Small-Minded Christianity." Let us reason together beloved again as we embark on a dangerous journey through this wicked mind that is leading so many people straight to hell. Do not lose sight of the fact that he seems to actually believe this garbage he writes.

"It troubles me that many people who claim to be Christians live with limited, powerless, finite thinking. How is this even possible? I mean, how do people who claim to have the Creator of the Universe living inside of them, the mind of Christ thinking through them, and the Spirit of God influencing the world around them even have the nerve to think small? I'd propose that we believers don't have permission to live with limited mindsets!" -- Kris Vallotton

I propose you are a heretic! Beloved right off the bat we get this distorted dominionist NAR flavor. Nowhere in the Bible does it suggest our role is to influence this world. The Holy Spirit is not trying to influence this world. It is presenting the Gospel so people can be saved from this world. The problem is that Kris Vallotton loves this world. He loves it more than anything because he has figured out how to make a killing in it by making merchandise of the sheep of the Lord and those seeking Him. The limits Kris bemoans are found in Scripture. That is what he feels limits Christians. It is a shame that because he is so focused on the world he loves that he cannot see the true power of transcending this world. That he is incapable of seeing the truly infinite found in eternal life. There is nothing more powerful than the Gospel but Vallotton is too busy hawking his next series selling carnal magic tricks to notice. He then talks about someone named Elon Musk who dared to think big about resolving the Los Angeles traffic nightmare and wanting to colonize Mars. This is who Kris Vallotton holds up for virtue even though he openly admits that he is unsaved. Perhaps Musk is a great visionary according to the fleshly carnality of man but he is a footnote to an eternal God facing an eternity in hell for his worldly efforts. This is the point that keeps eluding Vallotton. By focusing on the wrong world and the wrong life he abandons true greatness for dust. Vallotton claims that even though Musk is unsaved he believes in doing the impossible. How profoundly sad. To Kris Vallotton solving the LA traffic problems or dreaming about colonizing Mars is doing the impossible while he pretends to serve a God who could but say a word and do both. He is so busy marveling at unsaved dreamers that he cannot see the true marvel of thinking big -- saving mankind. It is such a miracle when someone is saved that all of heaven rejoices but Kris Vallotton gets excited when someone wants to build a tunnel to solve traffic in one city on this planet. But according to him, we are the ones who are limited and powerless. Right. Nevertheless, he doubles down.

"Born-Again Believers Need to Wake Up! I'm baffled by the fact that the greatest thinkers in the world, like Elon Musk, are often godless, humanist, self-centered, self-absorbed atheists! This is an open indictment against the Body of Christ." -- Kris Vallotton

The fact that they are self-absorbed atheists should have given Vallotton pause but instead he continues to gush about people who are brilliant in the eyes of man. He is so blinded by his love of this world he cannot see how the Gospel is the only power worth admiring. It is the only power that can save a man's soul. At the end of the day the tunnels and highways will crumble and fall. Mars will go the same way as this earth. But heaven? That is eternal. Vallotton now lists seven distinct advantages he believes Christians have over unbelievers. He tries to reference Scripture but when you spend your life downplaying the importance of the Bible it is no wonder that you cannot divide it properly. The only one indicted here is Kris Vallotton.

"1. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit; consequently, the God who envisioned everything and spoke the world(s) into existence lives inside of us. (See 1 Corinthians 6:19)

2. We have access to the gift of wisdom, which is one of the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in the book of 1 Corinthians. Think of it like the wisdom of King Solomon on steroids. (See 1 Corinthians 12:8.)" -- Kris Vallotton

It is true that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit but the context that he ignores reveals that these verses have nothing to do with "thinking bigger." They are specifically dealing with sexual immorality. This is how false teachers abuse the Bible beloved. They take a verse, rip it horribly out of context and then apply it where it does not belong. The second point is far more disturbing. We do not have access to all nine gifts of the Spirit. Vallotton believes we do because he was raised up by heretic Bill Johnson who operates a "School of the Supernatural"; where he tries to teach the gifts to people. This is of course rank heresy that violates the very Scriptures Kris references:

All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1Corinthians 12: 11 (ESV)

This is a perfect example of the limits Kris hates so much. This verse makes it abundantly clear that it is only the Holy Spirit who decides which gifts goes to whom and when to apportion them. That limits Kris and Bethel's ability to fleece the flock however so they teach contrary to scripture and then blame the Bible on limiting them. By the way, this is all the Bible has to say about the gift of wisdom. It does not say it is the Wisdom of Solomon on steroids. That is just hyperbole to try and prove his unbiblical point.

"3. This next one is otherworldly so I'm going to camp out here a little longer! Get this, we have the mind of Christ, which means we think like God; we are His divine think tank! (1 Corinthians 2:6-16). The Apostle Paul points out in these verses that what was a mystery to God's Old Testament people is actually revealed to us because we think like God! Read it for yourselves, "We have received the Spirit of God who knows the mind of God." Therefore since the same Spirit lives in us who lived/lives in Jesus we actually think like God. Do you want to know what God is thinking; what are you thinking? When you are right with God you think His thoughts! The Old Testament prophet went on to ask, "WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD"?" The great apostle Paul replied, we do! "We have the mind of Christ!" The mind of Christ is your X-factor, your secret weapon"But to activate your heavenly advantage you must lose the compliant, religious rule keeper, black and white mindset so you can journey out into the world of mystery, miracles, and divine mayhem. We have become predictable, boring, vanilla, uninspired people. Yet our Founder is a radical fore-thinking activist, who in three short years, altered the course of human history. Jesus transformed the way the world viewed God, money, nature, religion and kingdom life etc." -- Kris Vallotton

Vallotton likes to get mystical as does the entire Bethel crowd. Thus he once again misses the entire point. Having the mind of Christ does not mean we think like God. That is absurd. It cheapens God to our level. The Bible says that as high as the heavens are is how far above His thoughts are to ours. If Kris spent more time reading the Bible and less trying to discredit it, he might learn this. To have the mind of Christ is to share in His purpose, His Gospel and His plan for humanity. I know that must be "vanilla" for Kris Vallotton but it is crucial for those who are lost. We are not God's think tank. This comes from the false theology Vallotton has that believes God needs us on some level. That we are friends, peers, and buddies. Gaining wisdom from God means we can understand how God thinks on a particular subject -- it does not mean we think like Him. Look at how much Kris wants to commit the oldest sin recorded -- to usurp what belongs to God. To become like God. When we are right we think His thoughts? Says no biblical text anywhere.

Notice the not so subtle shift here into his anti-religion stance. In order to activate this great x-factor weapon that is the mind of Christ we must first lose the compliant, religious rule keeper, black and white mindset. Allow me to translate for you -- we must lose the Bible. What utter garbage from the pit of hell. Give me black and white truth that we can know from Scripture! Give me the verity of truth that comes from obeying God! Give me the rules. I may not be perfect and keep them all of the time but I sure want to be found trying. Keep your made up x-factors and carnal weapons of this world dreamed up by your deceitfully wicked heart. World of mystery? Divine mayhem? What in the world are you babbling about! Yes Jesus changed the entire world in three years but He did so by obeying the Father. He did so by preaching the Gospel. Sorry Kris but He was quite vanilla in those areas.

"4. We are a "new creation" born again into the kingdom of God. The word "new" here means "prototype" -- something never before created. (See 2 Corinthians 5:17.) We are the first creatures to live on earth and in heaven simultaneously. Our head isn't stuck in the clouds; it's positioned in heavenly places.

5. We are endowed with "the manifold wisdom of God" by which the Lord reveals the mysteries of the kingdom "through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places." The Greek word translated "manifold" here means multicolored or multidimensional. Jesus has granted us multidimensional wisdom"the ability to understand challenging situations from every conceivable perspective and from every imaginable realm. (See Ephesians 3:1-10)." -- Kris Vallotton

I hate to return to the limits of context again but it is important to actually try and understand what God was saying. The new creation is in regards to our relationship with the Father. That where it once was lost it has now been reconciled. It is because of this status as a new creation that we now are ambassadors of reconciliation for the Father through Christ. The misuse of manifold is perhaps more disturbing. While multi-colored is one of the accepted translations the other is "wrought in details" not multidimensional. This wisdom is always regarding the Gospel, not some secret, gnostic, mystical definition by which we can magically understand challenging situations from every conceivable perspective and from every imaginable realm. That is simply hyper-spiritual gobbledygook made up here by Vallotton. This is what the false signs and lying wonders and experiential Christianity teachings seek to do. They make everything mystical and supernatural. Remember beloved the things of God are foolishness to he that is perishing. When we are indwelt with the spirit of God we can begin to understand things from His perspective. It does not mean that we think just like God but that we view things differently. We understand sin offends the Father. We understand grace saves us when we do not deserve it. The manifold wisdom of God allows us to be able to see things through the prism of the Gospel instead of our flesh.

"6. We are seated in heavenly places with Christ, which actually gives us another profound advantage. Think about it like this; Jesus said to the Apostle John "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things." (See Revelation 4:1) In other words, our heavenly seat gives us insight into the future. There are so many ramifications to our raptured status that it makes my brain explode with possibility! Maybe it's easier to illustrate by thinking of what it would be like if we lived in 1850 and we got invited to "Come up here" for a look at the world in 2017. In this exalted position we would see televisions, computers, cars and planes etc."a world much different than our own current condition. What an amazing advantage this would give us as business people or inventors! Or how about if we were invited to view the future of medicine from 1810. We would see polio, smallpox, tuberculosis, leprosy, (to name a just a few), that plagued our generation completely eradicated in the future! This is isn't a pipe dream or science fiction, this is our reality"our advantage"our right of passage." -- Kris Vallotton

Say what? Beloved this is how truly depraved the false teaching mind is. According to Kris Vallotton, it is our right of passage as Christians not to spread the Gospel. Not to carry our cross daily. No; it is our right of passage to use Ephesians 3:10, which he does not understand to begin with, to our advantage in business, investing, oh and medicine, wink wink. Once again when you are solely focused on this world and what advantage you can gain here you lose all eternal perspective. The Apostle John was given a revelation by Jesus Christ. This is not meant to be twisted like this and applied to us in some carnal Ponzi insider trading scheme.

"7. Friendship with God is another game changer for us. Jesus put it like this: "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15) When we transition from slavery to friendship with God, (by keeping His commandments), we are suddenly introduced into a realm of revelation that only Jesus walked in. We have access to "all things" that were revealed to Jesus." -- Kris Vallotton

Say what again? Ugh. This is the end result of the friend of God theology. It is good that he at least references the caveat, which is obedience. Most false teachers who abuse this verse ignore that. One is most certainly not a friend of God who mangles His Word as badly as Kris Vallotton. There is no mystical realm of revelation that only Jesus walked in beloved that now we suddenly have access to. It is a shame that Kris doesn't understand the very verse he references, which is our key verse today.

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. -- John 15: 15 (ESV)

What Jesus has made known to us is the very Bible that Kris Vallotton teaches limits us as Christians! That is the final revealed will of the Father. You know; the compliant, black and white, religious rule keeper. Vallotton continues:

"We Are Not Mere Men (or Women). There are many other profound advantages that we, followers of Jesus, have over those who have yet to experience His transforming power. But it should suffice to say that the most creative, inventive, ingenious, imaginative, inspired, brilliant, resourceful, innovative, advanced ideas should be flowing from the sons and daughters of God! When the first century Corinthian church was struggling with jealousy and strife the apostle Paul rebuked them by reminding them that they were behaving like "mere men." (See 1 Corinthians 3:3.) We are not just humans! We are alive in the Spirit, sons and daughters of the God of the universe, endowed with wisdom, commissioned with power, and given authority to make a profound difference in the world. It's passed time that we rise to our high call in Christ Jesus and start thinking like royalty!" -- Kris Vallotton

The complete lack of ability to divide the word of God is simply staggering. The verse from 1Corinthains 3 is speaking to how we ought to behave as Christians in light of sin. Jealousy is a sin. We are not supposed to behave as the world does when we have the Spirit of God inside of us. There is ZERO indication that this means we are endowed with wisdom, commissioned with power, or given authority to make a profound difference in the world -- apart from the Gospel. The Gospel has the authority, wisdom and power! Not us! We do not need any creative, inventive, ingenious, imaginative, inspired or brilliant ideas that emanate from human wisdom beloved. All of that does nothing but get in the way of the Gospel. The Apostle Paul understood this:

And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. -- 1Corinthians 2: 1-5 (ESV)

Really grasp what Paul is saying here because it completely destroys this carnal teaching from Kris Vallotton. If we simply preach the Gospel then people's faith will rest in the power of God but if we go down the trail Kris Vallotton insists upon it will reside in the wisdom of men. Where is the weakness, fear and trembling in this blog post! Royalty. That is what Kris is selling you beloved. A temporal crown that will rust eventually. Everyone wants the crown of glory but no one wants to first deal with the crown of thorns and that is where the true power resides. That is where the true authority dwells. That is our claim to royalty -- His willingness to lay His down for us. Mercifully, he concludes:

"Owning Our Inheritance. So my challenge to you today is to wake up! Any difficulty that may come your way, take a minute to stop and remember the true advantages you have as a believer and then ACT LIKE IT. Some of you may even be wondering what your next step in life, in your career, in your business should be, and I want to encourage you to remember where you sit in this life--in heavenly places. I bless you with a revelation of the solutions, creativity and wisdom you inherently carry in Jesus name! How do you walk in these truths? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!" -- Kris Vallotton

Once again, the depravity of his heart is evident. All of this is now applied to your next big business decision. This has only been about the one thing that Kris Vallotton truly worships and that is this world. In his deceitful heart he only sees himself as royalty who deserves his inheritance as a rite of passage. The arrogance and petulance he teaches is only matched by his usurpation of what belongs to God and his inability to divide the Word of God. Of course that matters little to him because the Word is simply for us small minded religious rule keepers. That much is black and white.
