Dr. Michael Brown's Dissembling Tweet About the NAR Seven Mountains Mandate

By Anthony Wade

Brief look at a ridiculous tweet from the NAR Gatekeeper

Dr. Michael Brown has been a gatekeeper for the New Apostolic Reformation for some time now. That means that while he may not openly endorse their theology he provides cover for those that do. At one point he tried to convince everyone that there was no such thing as the NAR! One of the planks of the NAR which Dr. Brown openly endorses is dominionism. While every now and again he tries to write an article to make himself seem balanced on the subject, he has been carrying the president's water for some time as well. We see these facts play out in a tweet from yesterday:

"It seems there are two very different understandings of the 7 Mountains. One, which is unbiblical, says the Church must take over these 7 areas of culture worldwide before Jesus returns. The other says that to impact a nation effectively, the Church must impact these areas too." -- Dr. Michael Brown

The hairsplitting here is reminiscent of Bill Clinton defining the word "is." Don't fall for it. the two sides Brown describes here are the exact same thing. When Brown advocates for politicians based on how they will implement Christian values he is in fact supporting the 7 Mountain heresy of taking over that mountain. Impacting or dominion are two sides of the exact same heresy. The true dichotomy is that the extreme version of this teaching is that the church must take over the seven mountains in order to facilitate the second coming of Christ. That Jesus literally cannot return until we do so. This notion is so loony tunes however that most NAR dominionists pretend that they just want to impact the mountains, as Dr. Brown states here.

The bottom line is neither political party cares about the cause of Jesus Christ. In order for Brown and the NAR to play up one as "God's choice" they are forced to demonize the other and confer righteousness onto their deemed lesser evil. I saw a local pastor post on Facebook the other day that anyone who considers voting Democratic cannot be Christian. A pastor said this garbage. That's a heck of an evangelism strategy. Don't fall for the division of men, even if pastors corrupt their pulpit and calling by aiding and abetting it. This is how the NAR will lead into the one world religion. Lastly, don't fall for the hairsplitting of someone who spends their days defending the NAR and dominionism.

Rev. Anthony
