When the False Prophet Industrial Complex Issues Prophetic Standards

By Anthony Wade

A Review of the official Prophetic Standards set out by the False Prophet Industrial Complex, seriously.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. - Romans 11:29 (ESV)

I know this is a couple of years late, but the above linked story escaped me in 2021 but still needs addressing today. For the background we have to go back further, to 2020 and the presidential election. The Prophetic Industrial Complex of the apostate NAR church system went crazy prophesying a second Trump term. It seemed that anyone who was a false prophet was assuring us hat God spoke to them directly to assure them that Trump was going to beat Joe Biden. God however, will not be mocked and these vain predictions were all carnal as Trump lost by seven million votes. This event had the potential to be a real problem for churchianity as false prophecy sells really good and now they were exposed for the hucksters they are. Some took it upon themselves to apologize and pretend to repent. Without turning from false prophecy however there was no repentance. They were sorry but only because they got it "wrong." Some like Jeremiah Johnson pretended to quit the business but really just rebranded themselves to fleece the flock in different manners. Still the "leaders" decided the get together and draft what they would call prophetic standards, as a way to be able to point to something when critics come calling. Never mind that all the standards they need, are found in the bible and not in the carnal hearts of deceitful men. Before people think I am too judgmental, here are just some of the initial signers to this document:

Dr. Michael Brown, John Burton, Kris Vallotton, Jennifer LeClaire, Robert Morris, Lary Tomczak, Steven Strang, Randy Clark, Daniel Kolenda, Mark Chironna, Stacy Campbell, James Goll, Mark Driscoll and Patricia King.

Was Benny Hinn unavailable? This is a who's who list of insanely false prophets and NAR dominionists along with their chief apologist, Dr. Brown. So, this is the group that is going to establish prophetic standards? Jennifer LeClaire once prophesied about a sneaky squid spirit and Brown provided cover for it on his radio show. The disgraced fugitive from church discipline, Driscoll? He stole over 200,000 dollars from his former church and he is now establishing standards? Kris Vallotton and his poverty spirit or Morris as one of the biggest tithing whores in the church? Strang, Tomczak and Burton are three of the largest political activists disguised as Christians today. Who would follow standards from this clown car? The link above is to the website they created just for housing this document. Let us reason again as I will select portions to discuss because so much is self-serving.

"WE BELIEVE that the essence of the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus, hence the ultimate goal of prophetic ministry is to exalt the lordship of Jesus Christ, even though we recognize that not every prophetic word will specifically point to Him (see Rev. 19:10; 1 Cor. 12:3)." - Prophetic Standards

So, when Jennifer LeClaire prophesied that she was going to release the angels of abundant harvest in timing with the release of her book by the same name, how exactly was that exalting the lordship of Christ? How did that point to Him? How does the prophecies Strang supports, which target and abuse the current president, relate to the testimony of Jesus? When Stacy Campbell violently shakes her head while pretending to prophesy, there is no exaltation of Christ. You see beloved, it is easy to write standards down but to live up to them is what matters. When this gaggle of false prophets got together it didn't matter what they wrote. To be taken seriously, they should have repented from pretending to hear from God and speaking on His behalf.

"WE BELIEVE in the five-fold ministry of the prophet, recognizing that such prophets will also be used to bring correction, instruction, and directional clarity to the Body, but not independent of other leaders, and therefore different from the model of the independent Old Testament prophet." - Prophetic Standards

Two of the hallmarks of the apostate church system is a false authority paradigm and the belief they can just rewrite the bible by pretending the new covenant allows them to do so. Both are encompassed here in this quote. So, they believe prophets could potentially bring correction, instruction, and directional clarity but only if they bow the knee to other non-prophetic leaders, such as the false apostles we see everywhere. Except prophecy is supposed to be God speaking to the prophet, no? Why do local leaders think they're the final authority over what God has allegedly said? John Burton has written extensively on this as he believes that everyone bows down to apostles, oh and he is an apostle - how convenient! The second point here should be more disturbing. To openly admit that they are recreating prophecy in what they view as New Testament terms should be frightening. The primary difference between the new and the old is that we now have the final revealed will of God in the bible. Therefore, we do not actually need any prophet to tell us God "forgot something."

"WE RECOGNIZE that prophets do not serve as spiritual fortune tellers or prognosticators, nor is their role to satisfy our curiosity about the future or reveal abstract information. God's purpose in prophecy is redemptive, calling for repentance, giving supernatural guidance, bringing comfort, deliverance, restoration, and glorifying Jesus as Lord." - Prophetic Standards

Really. This fraternity is all about futuristic prophecies. Don't believe me? Here are some article headlines from today's Charisma News:

"Prophecy: Exposure is Coming to America's Church"

"Mario Murillo: Unprecedented Wave of Revival Coming from This Church."

"Shawn Bolz Prophesies of Catastrophic Storms in 2023."

"Signs, Signs, & More Signs: Persecution Is Coming Soon."

This is just today. Every one of these articles is speaking prophetically about the future. They are all nonsense of course but that is a secondary issue here. While these things listed here may have some accuracy to them, the group of people writing it do not adhere to what they write. They are false, through and through. They are fortune tellers, mediums, and dime store clairvoyants.

"WE RECOGNIZE that, due to the nature of prophetic ministry, some prophetic words can be submitted for evaluation before they are delivered while other words will be evaluated after they are delivered. But in all situations, those claiming to speak for God should welcome the godly evaluation of their prophecies." - Prophetic Standards

What absolute nonsense. The reason why these false prophets have to create standards is they do not follow what the bible lays out as standards. It is real simple. If you prophesy and it does not come to pass, you are false and dismissed, never to be heard from again, while you slink away to repent for daring to speak on behalf of the creator of the entire universe when He had not spoken to you. Oh, and thanking Him that the punishment is no longer being stoned to death. No need for vetting words. Just hold people accountable, who are claiming to hear directly from God!

"WE BELIEVE that prophecies should first be tested by the Word, then if the prophetic word is not contrary to the Scriptures, it should be evaluated by other mature leaders. If a prophecy is given in the context of a local church, then mature leaders in that setting should evaluate it. If a prophecy is given in the context of a region or nation, then mature regional or national leaders should be invited to evaluate the word (see 1 Cor. 14:29; 1 Thes. 5:19-21). Those who refuse to have their words tested should not be given a platform." - Prophetic Standards

Of course, a word allegedly from God cannot violate His word. The rest of this is again the false authority paradigm. Mature leaders, local or regional, still have deceitful hearts. If I have heard directly from God, why do they get to decide if the word has value? If I prophesied against a church that was preaching a false gospel or stealing people's memberships over tithing, or immersing itself too far into the world, do you think the leadership would "approve" that word?

"WE RECOGNIZE that prophets receive supernatural revelation from God, but they are also dependent on other five-fold ministry leaders for the interpretation and application of the revelations they receive. It is the Lord's will that all these various ministry gifts, including the ministry of the prophet, work in harmony rather than independently. Only then will the Body come into full health and maturity." - Prophetic Standards

Says no scripture anywhere. It is true that all of these roles serve to bring the body into maturity but not that they must inter-rely upon each other as is being described. Read the Old Testament and see the direct words received from God for His people. God does not stutter and He is not vague. If he says repent, He means repent. There is no need to interpret, unless you are part of this false network that routinely assigns to God that which did not come from him. False prophets often speak in dream fragments that they insist was from God and then they try to interpret. It doesn't work like that.

"WE BELIEVE that all spiritual leaders, including five-fold ministry prophets, should be above reproach and should live a life worthy of their calling (see Eph. 4:1-3). Consequently, we believe that prophetic leaders whose lives violate the moral and ethical standards of the Word disqualify themselves from the ministry irrespective of how much influence or anointing they have." - Prophetic Standards

The standard is correct. Those who serve in God's church should be leading lives worthy of that calling. What I find interesting here is the admission that these people seem to think God will still "anoint" someone who is not living their life as He has outlined and that is patently absurd. So, they correctly discern that the person should be disqualified from ministry but still leave room that God would somehow be blessing that. Unreal.

"WE VALUE humility, integrity, and accuracy in prophetic ministry in order to protect the faith and trust of those who hear a word that is stated to be from God. It is a sacred thing to claim to speak for the Lord and, in keeping with the words of Jesus, to whom much is given, much is required (see Luke 12:48). And just as those who teach are held to a higher standard of accountability (see Jam. 3:1), so also those who prophesy should be held to a higher standard. They can have a powerful influence over people's lives for better or worse, because of which we urge sobriety and circumspection together with faith and boldness." - Prophetic Standards

Unless you hold to the biblical standard of 100% accuracy these are empty words written by charlatans. Where is there humility in a 65% accuracy rate, which is what they believe constitutes a solid prophet? Where is there integrity? They are confusing sincerity with integrity, and I simply do not believe they take into account what they are doing. They are claiming to hear directly from the Creator of the Universe! Yet 35 wrong out of every hundred is acceptable? What about the 35 faiths you shipwrecked by telling them something God never said? They are right though that they will be held to a higher standard and that should not be a source of comfort for them.

"WE UNDERSTAND that prophecies can be conditional and that many prophecies will take time to come to pass. We also recognize that prophetic language is often mysterious and symbolic, requiring interpretation and insight. This means that prophecies that do not contradict the Bible or that are not contrary to fact should be evaluated over time and not immediately rejected. On the other hand, if a prophetic word is delivered containing specific details and dates in which the stated prophetic word will come to pass and that prophecy contains no conditions to be met in order to be fulfilled, and that word does not come to pass as prophesied, then the one who delivered the word must be willing to take full responsibility, demonstrating genuine contrition before God and people. Any statement of apology and/or explanation/clarification should be delivered to the audience to whom the erroneous word was given. For example, if it was given to an individual, the apology (and/or explanation/clarification) should be delivered to the individual. If the word was delivered publicly, then a public apology (and/or explanation/clarification) should be presented. This is not meant to be a punishment but rather a mature act of love to protect the honor of the Lord, the integrity of prophetic ministry, and the faith of those to whom the word was given." - Prophetic Standards

I just love the three sections covered here to protect themselves while pretending it is bathed in piety. The first is the standard they create that says ehh"not all prophecy comes to pass quickly. We have to let it marinate like meat. We see these false prophets use this all the time. There was a former fireman turned prophet who clearly prophesied that Donald Trump would be elected president in 2012. Since 2016, he has been treated like prophetic royalty even though he missed by four years! Secondly, they set up the ability to speak in coded mystic terms and then claim after that some event matches what they said. God showed me fire and California. Then when the next forest fire erupts they claim they were right. If no big fires occur that season they just file it away until next because hey, sometimes these things take time to come true, right? The final part of this trifecta of deception is that if at the end of the time allotted, the prophetic word still has not come to pass you just need to "own it." Just say "my bad" and move on like the humble servant you know you aren't. So, you baked in extended time and the ability to just prophesy in spooky-talk for easy attribution, and if all that still doesn't work just say you're sorry.

"WE BELIEVE it is essential that all spiritual leaders, including prophetic leaders, have a presbytery of peers and seasoned spiritual leaders who can hold them accountable regarding their life and ministry. In keeping with this, we reject the notion that to judge a prophet's words is a violation of Psalm 105:15 (where God exhorted the ancient nations not to touch the patriarchs or harm His prophets). Prophets who err must be willing to receive correction from peer leaders with whom they are in accountable relationship. Those refusing such accountability should not be welcomed for ministry." - Prophetic Standards

While they are correct for rejecting the abuse of Psalm 105, they do so only to claim that power of control for themselves. The industry cannot handle rogue prophets who do not toe the company line. The perfect example is Todd Bentley, who was anointed a prophet by the powers that be, only to watch him fall from grace spectacularly by sleeping with his church secretary and then divorcing his wife for her. They have been trying to control their mistake ever since. Bentley does what Bentley wants. These standards were drafted for Him more than anyone. It establishes the false authority paradigm they think they need to be in control.

"WE REJECT the notion that a contemporary prophetic word is on the same level of inspiration or authority as Scripture or that God's inerrant speech is always communicated perfectly by prophets today, since the Bible says we only know in part and prophesy in part (1 Cor. 13:9). It is the written Word alone that can lay claim to being "the Word of God" (2 Tim. 3:16); prophecies, at best, are "a word from the Lord," to be tested by the Word of God." - Prophetic Standards

Wow. Here is the built-in insurance from the false prophet brigade. They recognize that if they claim their prophetic words are equal to scripture then they cannot be wrong even once. The reality is if you are claiming to give a word from God then it should be on the same level of scripture, no? But if they agree to that then once they utter a false prophesy they are done. Notice how deftly they blame themselves to avoid the ugly truth that they are not actually hearing from God. His words are always inerrant, which is true, but something sometimes gets lost in translation? The prophet "respeaking" what God said is not perfect like God and therefore can be forgiven for getting it wrong. Maybe God stuttered? Maybe he spoke in a real hushed tone? Maybe He spoke in a fake tongues? C'mon. Why would God do anything like this if His intention was for the prophet-dude to bring a message to the people? To use 1Corinthians to excuse getting prophecy wrong is an assault on scripture.

"WE THEREFORE RECOGNIZE distinctions between a believer who gives an inaccurate prophecy (in which case they should acknowledge their error), a believer who consistently prophesies inaccurately (in which case we recognize that this person is not a prophet and we urge them to stop prophesying), and a false prophet (whom we recognize as a false believer, a lost soul, calling them to repent and be saved). Because God's gifts and calling are irrevocable (see Rom. 11:29), we understand that a person who has been prophetically gifted might be able to function in that gifting even though they are no longer in right relationship with God. That is why it is imperative that we judge a prophet by the fruit of their life and ministry rather than by their gift, also recognizing that there are some who started right but will be rejected in the end (see Matt. 7:21-23)." - Prophetic Standards

Unreal. Under these guidelines, who would be deemed false? Virtually none, or only those they wished to be rid of. The first example is someone who issues a false prophecy. As long as they say they are sorry, all is forgiven. The second is someone who always prophesies falsely but for some unknown reason they believe they are still saved! Basically, they just tell them stop embarrassing the Industrial Complex by stopping the false prophecies. Mind you, both of these examples are false prophets but to them, only the third group is and those are folks deemed to not actually be a believer. Who gets to determine such? They do of course! They set these ridiculous standards!

I am glad we get to close on their notion that false prophets should NOT be judged by their gifting but rather the fruit of their life and ministry, which is so malleable and open for judgment. To get there however they use the key verse for today, Romans 11:29. In a vacuum this verse seems to support their stance, but the first rule of Hermeneutics is context, context, context. Go read Romans 11 and you will find this chapter has nothing to do with spiritual gifts. This is in fact about the promises God made to His covenant people. Because the false prophets do not understand this verse, they actually believe that a person can be unsaved and yet prophetically gifted? Huh? So, you think that God is speaking to the unsaved and sending them with messages for the saved? That is so biblically moronic I do not even know where to start beloved. Except to end by saying these people who created these standards are the top shelf of false prophets today and this document is breathtaking in the scope of not understanding the bible, prophecy or the Lord.
