NAR Dominionist Jack Hibbs Sides with Razor Wire and Circular Saws because, Who Would Jesus Kill?

By Anthony Wade

Why is an alleged pastor weighing in positively on the side of absolutely evil schemes in Texas to hurt or kill people?

From the files of "please stay in your lane", NAR dominionist pastor Jack Hibbs recently was featured in a column for Charisma News extolling the illegal and unconstitutional actions of Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Why you might ask is someone charged with preaching the gospel, writing about something he clearly knows nothing about? That is the corruption of the NAR dominionist platform. You see, Greg Abbott is a Republican and the Republican Party controls the apostate church. It is bad enough we have to debunk the poor bible teaching of these people but now we must also combat the gross disinformation provided about our country and government. The problem is, Hibbs clearly only gets his news from corrupted sources, so he thinks he knows what he is talking about. As we discern and learn together through the above link, keep asking yourself why a pastor, would ever write something like this. Let us reason once more together beloved.

"In a significant move to address what it termed an "invasion," the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, declared on Jan. 24 the state's "Constitutional Right To Self-Defense" to curb the estimated 9 million illegal border crossings into the United States since the start of the Biden administration. Governor Abbott asserted that this action was a response to the federal government's and President Biden's perceived violation and "refusal" to enforce immigration laws. In a statement, Abbott argued that the federal government had broken the compact between the United States and the states." - Charisma News

Greg Abbott is a performative politician who is decidedly unserious about fixing anything. He just wants something to rile up his base of voters. The truth is neither political party has cared enough to do anything about immigration for decades. Even Hibbs' savior, Donald Trump, did absolutely nothing and by the way, Mexico paid nothing as well. Before getting into the stupidity here let us first deal with the cruelty. What Abbott wants to do is install razor wire fences and circular saws to physically hurt or potentially kill people trying to cross into this country. What he installed however prevented ICE agents from doing their job so the Federal Government, which is undeniable authority here, instructed them to remove it and the Supreme Court, which is decidedly conservative, agreed! The way our country works, that is the end of the discussion but not according to Abbott. More importantly however, why is Jack Hibbs on the side of the razor wire and circular saws? Does he even own a bible? Do you really want to be making the argument in front of Christ that because the bible speaks about borders around countries that you thought it was cool to kill people trying to escape poverty and violence in their home countries? And why? Because you won the "where you were born" lottery and now you think you were entitled to it? Instead of who would Jesus deport I guess now it is who would Jesus use circular saws on?

Abbott's arguments are his opinions, with no basis in actual law. Just this past week it was revealed that Biden had actually agreed to the legislative blackmail the Republicans demanded in order to give money to Israel and Ukraine. He was going to give them what they wanted on the border but now their idol, Mr. Trump told them to kill the deal so he can "run on immigration." So, it is not that Biden has refused to do anything. I might add here that the constitution makes clear that an invasion can only be termed when it is part of a war. So, Greg Abbott can whine that it is an invasion but not according to our laws. Period, full stop. Once again however, what in the world does any of this have to do with the gospel? The answer is absolutely nothing.

The statement, in part, reads: "The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas's constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border." On the same day, Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California and Founder of the Real Life Network, addressed his congregation, warning about the developing situation and expressing concerns that it could escalate into a civil war. "The governor is like the president of a country," explains Hibbs. "The United States Air Force is made up of air forces from 50 different states. The United States Army is made up of soldiers or army personnel from each of the 50 states. Every state has a National Guard. So, for example, Gavin Newsom, as Governor of California, is the Commander in Chief of the California National Guard.

Can you imagine if every Governor had the power to simply declare that their opinion is now the supreme law of the land? This is constitutionally absurd. The actual law makes it abundantly clear that the federal government has complete and supreme authority on all matters involving immigration. There is nothing for Texas to defend itself from. For the most part Abbott just holds a news conference and then ships these folks off in busses to northern "Democratic cities." State law does not supersede federal law - just ask the South. As for Hibbs, perhaps he should stick to preaching. The Commander in Chief of all the armed forces, including Navy and Army, is the president - not governors. The individual governors are not like presidents. Once again, why is Jack Hibbs weighing in on this?

"Our states are sovereign. The states agree to have the federal government rule over them. A governor can tell the federal government that they're not going to do this or they're not going to do that. A governor has incredible power," he continues. "We're in a situation because Texas, the people of Texas, decided to shut the border down. Joe Biden deployed federal forces to literally cut the brand new fencing and barbed wire so that the invasion could continue," reveals Hibbs. "You don't want to pick a fight with Texas"and I'm not saying that as a joke. Their patriotism for their 'country of Texas' is not to be played with." Texas is not alone in their fight against an administration that is fighting tooth and nail to keep the border open. To date, 25 Republican governors have voiced their support of Gov. Abbott, as well as former President Donald Trump and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Ok Jack. First of all, the states have already agreed to be governed by the federal government. The last time they disagreed we did indeed have a civil war. The framing here is what is so wrong. Texas is acting like the south did prior to the civil war. If you want to glorify insurrection, go right ahead but that is not of God. States are sovereign in that they can pass state laws, but they must adhere to federal laws and the constitution. Stop with the disinformation. The people of Texas did not decide to shut the border down. That is ridiculous. One idiot politician did. Look how Hibbs glibly phrases what is at heart insurrection. Patriotism is in regard to America. Texas is not its own country. The fact that other Republican sycophants support this nonsense impresses nobody. I might add here, nobody picked a fight with Texas. Their governor is picking a fight with the federal government. They can bring in all the weekend warriors they want. Read your history and see what the federal government did in the south when they refused to integrate black children into schools. Once again though, why is a pastor adding fuel to this fire? Why is he stoking the resentment and animosity? Jack Hibbs should be ashamed of himself, repent and apologize.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration continues to flip-flop between saying the border is secure and then blaming Republicans in Congress for the crisis at the border. It is mismanagement under the Biden administration that has led Hibbs to the belief that the U.S. may soon be looking at it's second Civil War. "I'm sorry to tell you. The powers that are pulling the strings to this country are literally bringing us to a civil war. It's the first time since 1861 where we're looking at soldiers, possibly shooting at other soldiers on the same team"States," laments Hibbs.

"I'm telling you, as an old guy, this is wild. Young people, you may be watching some history unfold that you didn't plan on experiencing," he continues. "Can we pray right now for our nation?" concludes Hibbs. "It is actually falling apart [and] we're watching it happen."

It is falling apart because people like Jack Hibbs does nothing but help it deteriorate. Read your bible and see what God says about the immigrant. Do not hand me scripture fragments about the border of Israel because you clearly do not understand what you are saying. Jack Hibbs however should know better. Instead of merely commenting that we might be heading for civil war, how about doing something positive. Maybe preach the gospel. Maybe not take sides. Maybe not pretend like Texas would actually survive an encounter with the Federal government because they most assuredly would not. Maybe take the side that is not supporting placing razor wire, circular saws and even barbed wire under the water in the Rio Grande. I understand that some people hate immigrants and blame them for everything. Jesus is not one of them beloved. Texas is wrong on this issue. They are refusing to listen to the most Republican, Conservative Supreme Court in history. The founders understood that occasionally Governors and the federal government might not agree so the check and balance they instituted was the Judicial Branch, ending with the Supreme Court. Greg Abbott is acting like a petulant child who has been told NO! You cannot try to kill people crossing the border! That is bad enough, but Jack Hibbs is worse because as a pastor he lends credibility to this garbage and damages the witness for Christ. Repent Jack, while there is still time.
