Jack Hibbs Declares that You Must Vote Trump or Burn Eternally in Unquenchable Fire
By Anthony Wade
Tell me, why again is NAR dominionist Jack Hibbs still respected?
::::::::
As the people were in expectation, and all were questioning in their hearts concerning John, whether he might be the Christ, John answered them all, saying, "I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire." - Luke 3:15-17 (ESV)
For every duplicitous but reasonable sounding Republican Party sycophant like Dr. Michael Brown, Charisma News has five lunatics who revel in sounding unreasonable. At the front of that warped line are people like Greg Locke and Mario Murillo, who unabashedly declared that if someone votes Democratic, they are actually going to hell and are unredeemable. Get that? Because someone decides that voting for a convicted rapist is a bridge too far for their moral compass they are beyond the ability of Jesus to save. How revolting and disgusting. While Murillo and Locke may be more transparent about their biblical lunacy, people like Jack Hibbs still garner respect he clearly no longer deserves when it comes to his NAR false teaching. A few weeks back we wrote about Hibbs stating that Jesus would be waiting for us on Judgment Day with our voting record in His hand. So, saving faith in the finished work of the cross? No longer relevant for salvation. As long as you voted for the guy who was unfaithful on all three of his wives, the last time with a porn star, you're in. Once again, disgusting. One would think that Hibbs would try to walk this nonsense back to save what is left of his tattered reputation, but he is tripling down this week with the short article linked above by Charisma News. Let us reason once more beloved.
"Jack Hibbs recently took to X to give Christians a warning regarding the importance of voting in this year's election. "I like to think of voting and VOICING," Hibbs writes. "Think about it. You may not get the opportunity to preach to a million people like Billy Graham or pastor a church of 10,000 like Charles Spurgeon - but God has called each of His true children to take advantage of every opportunity (talent) that comes along." Hibbs points out that we have each been given a voice to stand up for what is right, and in America, the way that we are to use our talents includes voting. This is how we as American citizens have the opportunity to stand up for the values we believe in. And as God's people of faith, this is the way that we are to stand up for the biblical principles our nation is in desperate need of." - Charisma News
What a ridiculous argument that is biblically vacuous. Nowhere does the bible say we have to take advantage of every opportunity and that this would somehow include voting for our perceived lesser evil in carnal elections. Voting is not a "talent." So, which value does Jack Hibbs say we should believe in? The value of declaring bankruptcy six times and not paying your debts? The value of infidelity on three wives? The value of cursing about your opponent constantly, even in a room full of Catholic priests? The value of telling everyone how a deceased golfer had a very large penis? The value of being convicted on 34 felonies with three other court cases pending against him? The value of being a convicted rapist, who then was found guilty of defaming his victim? What principles is Jack Hibbs claiming we are in desperate need of? The principles of impoverishing the poor? The principle of refusing to raise the federal minimum wage? The principle of lying over 30,000 times in your four-year presidential term? The principle of claiming our Christian brothers and sisters of Haitian descent are eating pets in Ohio? The principle of saying you will use the military to go after your perceived political enemies? The principle of demonizing immigrants and dehumanizing them? Because, you know, who would Jesus hate? We all know what principles Jack Hibbs speaks of because it is the same Faustian bargain that the NAR is selling all Christians. If Satan himself was running as a Republican in 2028 Jack Hibbs would say, "sure we all denounce the devil, but we are not voting for a pastor in chief here and Lucifer promises us more judges we like so - Team Beelzebub in 2028!" It would be comical is not so profoundly sad.
"This is how we are proven to be obedient and faithful and a good steward over what he has placed before us in every area of life. To be obedient to the opportunity presented is how we show ourselves both faithful to God and at war with wickedness. "As messy and as dirty as this year's election is, I am grateful that God is using it to separate the wheat from the chaff, the Christian from the almost Christian," Hibbs continues." - Charisma News
Wow. How horrifically heretical. I want to make sure we do not gloss over this. According to Jack Hibbs, God is using the 2024 United States election to separate the wheat from the chaff. Take a look at the key verses today to see how these terms were discussed by God in the bible. The wheat John speaks of are those saved by God and as for the chaff, let us read how Gill's Exposition clarifies this for us:
"By "the chaff", are meant wicked and ungodly persons, such as are destitute of the grace of God, whether professors, or profane; being empty, barren, and unfruitful; and so good for nothing but the fire, which therefore "he will burn with unquenchable fire", of divine wrath and vengeance" - Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible
Unquenchable fire means eternal damnation, period, full stop. The imagery here is clear from Jesus. He will use His winnowing fork to divide the saved from the lost. Those bound for heaven and those consigned to hell. The winnowing fork is imagery for how farmers divide the edible portion of the wheat crop from the inedible chaff. This fork biblically is saving faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. Those who believe are pictured here as the wheat and those who do not, are the chaff. Except not anymore according to Jack Hibbs. Now the divine wrath and vengeance of God is saved up for those who do not vote the way that Jack Hibbs would like them to. His own words here are that if you do not vote for the unfaithful, bankrupt rapist, you are not even a Christian. Jack Hibbs has now surpassed the lunacy of Locke and Murillo be declaring that those who do not vote Republican, will be burned with unquenchable fire by Jesus. Once again, wow. How does anyone have a sliver of respect left for this obvious political whore? In his imaginary war on wickedness, voting for Donald Trump is the righteous stand. Just consider that for a moment. If you dare to not vote as Hibbs commands, you are being unfaithful and disobedient to God Himself! Jack Hibbs is the wickedness at war with God. He is scattering people away from Jesus Christ in his pursuit of his carnal political goals.
"Hibbs also draws the connection that many Christians will not use their opportunity to vote.
Sadly, the majority of those who profess to be Christians will not vote at all. They will take the opportunity that God has given them (in this constitutional republic) and they will bury the opportunity in the ground or hide it under a bushel. Hibbs' message is a timely reminder that we are called to be the light of the world, but part of being that light is standing up for what is right when the opportunity presents itself. We cannot take this liberty of religious freedom for granted. Instead, we must use this unique gift to ensure that the gospel is preached and that religious freedom will continue to reign in America." - Charisma News
This is such NAR dominionist drivel. The Republican Party knows that it cannot win unless every deceived Evangelical votes so not only are they bullying us to vote for Mr. Trump, but they are lecturing and demonizing those that choose to not vote. The "opportunity" to vote must include to choose NOT to vote. There is nothing inherently wrong about making that decision. If Christians would be intellectually honest, they would have to admit that every carnal election comes down to choosing a perceived lesser evil. Spurgeon once said that when asked to choose a lesser evil, he would choose neither option. Evil is still evil. Choosing not to vote is not "hiding it under a bushel." It is a broad announcement to the culture that you are a peculiar people who will not conform to the thinking of this world. I have no issue with saying that being a light in the darkness is standing up for what is right but reasonable people disagree all the time about what is right. The reality is that every political candidate promises the world and rarely delivers. Who they are matters or at least it should to believers. Neither candidate is a threat to religious freedom in this country and Jack Hibbs knows this. This is about power, and greed. Don't believe so? Here is a list of the things Donald Trump is trying to grift, while cosplaying as a "Christian" presidential candidate:
$100,000 gold plated "Swiss" watches, made of course in Wyoming
$60 dollar "God Bless the USA" bible - made of course in China
$400 shiny gold sneakers
Collectible cards with Trump as a superhero or the "Donfather"
Trump coins
Trump wine
Trump cologne
Trump action figures
Just to name a few. Look beloved, I have said a hundred times, pray and vote as you feel led. Or do not vote as you feel led. Jesus is not going to be waiting for us on Judgment Day with our voting record. It is biblically absurd what Jack Hibbs is teaching. That Jesus is going to say to anyone, "well, I appreciate the saving faith in Me, but Clinton in 96? Sorry, but you are now chaff - off with you to the unquenchable fire!" While others will have an all-access pass to everything in heaven because they voted for Donald Trump. I would say this position is vacuous but that would be an insult to things that are vacuous. Maybe Jack Hibbs was once a respected bible preacher, but that ship has clearly sailed. He will go down in a long line before him of compromised men who could not realize when they bought into the NAR lies of dominionism. Men like Dr. Michael Brown and Franklin Graham who idolize this country so much that they believe it can be revived when it was never alive to begin with. Rape, infidelity, felony convictions, bankruptcies, grabbing women by their genitals - there is no bridge too far. Dare to disagree and you are consigned to the unquenchable fires of eternal damnation. Jack Hibbs has no core beliefs, moral compass or even shame anymore. Forget saving faith in Jesus. Salvation is nothing more than a zero-sum game now - vote for Trump or be eternally damned. No Jack, we will mark and avoid you because you are a voracious NAR wolf, and the bible tells us that your destruction is already set. Amen.
