Jack Hibbs & Charisma Continues to Beat the Sheep - Now Says Not Voting is a Sin
By Anthony Wade
Charisma is now trying to bully its readers into voting by sending Jack Hibbs out to say they are sinning if they stay home Election Day...
::::::::
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
Election season is just a blur of the exhausting and the awful as the apostate church ramps up their efforts exponentially to steal your vote by spiritually bullying you and lying to you about what God has said. They have no true answer for why they worship such a weak God that needs our help so desperately. As if the bible does not say that God raises up all leaders and uses everything in His creation for His purposes. They know that Jesus was completely apolitical when He walked the earth and He had a real reason to be involved given the true oppression His people sat under from the Roman Empire. As He said however, His kingdom was not of this world. Sure, the NAR lies and pretends that flipping the tables was political but it most certainly was not as this was dealing within the temple, not the public square. Jesus certainly had a problem with the religious leadership but that is not indicative of being political. None of that matters to Steven Strang, who uses his media platform at Charisma News to do the bidding of his true master, the Republican Party. The GOP knows full well that their candidate, Donald Trump, cannot win without the evangelical vote and also, that Evangelicals cannot decide to not vote. So, we have seen in the past week the spiritual intimidation be stepped up as they want to make sure that Christians vote and vote only for their guy. To that end, today Charisma ran two articles declaring Christians must vote and we will review both in this devotional. The first is by the rapidly devolving Jack Hibbs. Last time Jack wrote an article on Charisma, which was last week, he declared that anyone who votes Democratic will suffer eternal punishment in unquenchable fires. I kid you not. Previous to that, he had tried to teach that Jesus would be waiting for us on Judgment Day with our voting record in His hands. Not content with these heresies, Hibbs now is declaring in the first link above that choosing not to vote would be a sin! With no respect because none is due, just shut up Jack, you lying hireling. The second link is to an article by Abby Trivett, a media content creator for Charisma. She is stating that Christians are called to vote - except they are not of course. So, let us reason once more together beloved.
"With the election mere days away, California Pastor Jack Hibbs did something rarely seen behind most pulpits in 2024"he issued an urgent call for Christians to vote. A previous message Hibbs gave, titled "When Christians Fail to Vote," sought to be a wake-up call to the ramifications of the church sitting out the election"challenging both the pulpits and the pews.
Equipped with dozens of verses from the Bible, as well as quotes from America's Founding Fathers and some troubling statistics, Hibbs underscored the personal and societal consequences of Believers neglecting the stewardship of their nation. "Christians can never sit anything out that has an impact or influence," Hibbs, who serves as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, insisted. Christians in America have been given the profound privilege of being able to impact laws and elections through their votes. Hibbs took issue with many Christians who commonly use God's sovereignty as an excuse not to get involved. The pastor emphasized that this thinking fails to recognize something critical: "In God's sovereignty, He involved us!" Despite the sanctity of life, the rule of law, the support of Israel, the safeguarding of children, and their own religious freedom hanging in the balance, scores of evangelicals have deemed it unnecessary to cast their vote." - Charisma News
Jack Hibbs is a NAR whore at this point. Once respected, he has sold out his savior for 30 pieces of political silver. You have to understand that this is not about saying you want to vote for this person or that. It is about lying and twisting the word of God. Think about the foolishness of this argument. That God has somehow transferred His sovereignty over to us. How blasphemous. The argument is not entirely about sovereignty anyway. Yes, God is sovereign but you can certainly vote as you feel led. The problem is that whores like Hibbs beats the sheep to demand that they must vote as he has decided. I understand he might have his reasons but he does not allow that someone else could reach a different conclusion, or conclude that neither candidate is a Christian choice. There is ZERO issue with religious freedom in this country and Jack Hibbs knows it. Supporting the wars of Israel is quite different than supporting Israel. The rule of law? Seriously? His candidate is a convicted rapist with 34 other felony convictions and has already declared that the first thing he would do if elected would be to fire the prosecutor who has two other cases pending against him. So, spare me the crocodile tears about the rule of law. At this point, Hibbs cites statistics from the 2020 election that show how many Evangelicals stayed home and his stupid conclusion if they had come out, then his boy would have won. The arrogance to assume that everyone Evangelical must come to the same voting choices as him is staggering. He would get worse however, after citing recent studies that show 32 million Evangelicals are planning on not voting this year as well.
'"There's no separation between what God says and what God wants from you as an American," he explained. "Voting in a constitutional republic is a privilege. It is an honor, ladies and gentlemen, for you and I to carry out this great responsibility. It's not something that we 'maybe' exercise as a believer. The believer must take this very seriously. "The church is failing. Why? Because it's being led by failures," he lamented, adding that every pastor will be judged more harshly and held accountable to God for how they instructed their flocks. Hibbs pointed to a quote from political researcher Craig Huey, which warned that the church has surrendered its role as the "conscience of the community." "That is true," Hibbs affirmed, adding that many church pastors "will never bring up the issues that will determine what your kids deal with in school, the definition of marriage, abortion, or who to vote for to preserve a Judeo-Christian worldview." Failure to vote for candidates who, for example, are more committed to defending children in the womb is equivalent to casting your vote for candidates eager to snuff it out, Hibbs further underscored, "When you don't vote, the void is filled by the bad guy."' - Charisma News
Let me see if I have this straight Jack. The guy who cheated on his first wife with his second wife and cheated on his third wife with a porn star is the good guy in your scenario? The guy who cheated his business partners and customers six times through bankruptcy is the good guy? The guy who created a fake university to scam two million dollars from poor people is the good guy? The man who ran such a corrupt charity that cheated other charities like ones for kids with cancer that he is banned from running charities in New York is the good guy? This is the problem the NAR dominionist can never answer. They try to confer righteousness upon a totally corrupt man. This is the game they play though. They try to pretend this is a choice between a good guy and a bad guy. Between good and evil. Except their choice is just as evil if not more. God does not want ANYHTHING from you as an American. Being an American is not impressive to God. It does not matter where we are, we still have to shape out lives as God commands. America, has no relevance to the conversation but because Hibbs worships this country, he teaches the opposite. Voting is a secular privilege but part of that privilege is in deciding not to vote at all. If the system insists on providing only corrupt candidates, then people can decide that neither candidate is worth that privilege. Note that Hibbs also trashes pastors who do not twist the bible as he does to promote Donald Trump. So, in the wicked heart of Jack Hibbs, if you only use the pulpit to preach the gospel - you are a failure! How vile and disgusting. He is right that pastors will be held to a higher standard for what they taught their flocks but I don't think that should be a source of comfort for him. He will answer for lying to the sheep and beating them on behalf of his politics. The church has indeed abandoned having a conscience but Jack Hibbs is leading that charge. It is unconscionable to spiritually bully God's sheep and tell them they are going to hell or sinning if they do not vote a certain way.
'"Sometimes, we act like this is our home, we settle down, and put our feet up"this is a battlefield, and it's never been more clear than now," the pastor implored. "We cannot, and we must not, decide 'not to get involved' in our culture. We do not have the option or the luxury of staying out of the fight that's before us. I tell you, there are more things to fight for than there ever has been in my lifetime. It's a very, very critical time. "Voting is a Christian responsibility," Hibbs urged. "It's an opportunity to do good. The Bible says, 'To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin' (James 4:17). Am I saying that if you don't vote, it's a sin? That's exactly what I'm saying."' - Charisma News
The only way we are commanded to "get involved in our culture" is through the gospel - period, full stop. This pitch by the corrupted Hibbs is pure NAR seven mountains heresy. We are not in a carnal fight. The key verse for today reminds us that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. Fleshly voting is not going to resolve spiritual warfare. Prayer, intercession, worship, fasting - these are our tools. Donald Trump is not. Voting is the furthest thing from a Christian responsibility. An opportunity to do good? How? By voting for a man so uniquely compromised that he has admitted that he does not believe he has to ask God for forgiveness for anything AND thinks it is ok to grab women by their genitals? Jack Hibbs is getting desperate however. First, he tried just saying Jesus will be holding your voting record in His hands. Then he topped that by saying if you vote for a Democrat then you would face the unquenchable fires of hell. Now, if you just have the temerity to stay home and not vote at all? You are actively sinning against God. Jack Hibbs is a abhorrent excuse for a pastor. I would say mark and avid but he needs to be openly rebuked for being the tool of Satan that he is. This one article slapping the sheep around who might not vote was not enough for Charisma today. So, let us move on to the second article.
"With the election just a few days away, many people are preparing to go on Nov. 5 to cast their ballot and exercise their American freedom to choose the candidate of their preference. Some have already gone to the polls in early voting and via mail-in ballots. However, for the hesitant Christian, publications like Christianity Today are trying to convince them not to vote. This couldn't be further from the truth. Millions of Christians around the globe wished they had the freedom to vote and the freedom to worship. Persecution against Christians is real, and many do not have the right to voice their opinion about the kind of world they want to live in. Having the freedom to vote is a gift we've been given by God, and if we do not utilize what He's placed in our hands, it will be taken away someday. Just as the servants who took the talents their master gave them and sowed them well were declared, "good and faithful" the one who did nothing with what he was given was called "wicked and slothful" (Matt. 25:26). If we do not use the vote we have, the talent that has been placed into our hands, then we can be sure that the unjust will rise to power and that gift will be lost one day." - Abby Trivett
While it is true that millions of people in oppressive regimes wish they had the right to vote, that is irrelevant to this country where we do have that choice. The issue is the fact that those other countries do not have democracies and religious freedom but ours does. The sadly ironic thing is that Abby Trivett has been so corrupted by Charisma that she cannot see her own hypocrisy. The man she is demanding you vote for LOVES the rulers of those regimes that oppress Christians. He declared he was in love with North Korea's dictator. He says that the leader of China is strong and smart and rules with an iron fist, as if that was a good thing. He has an absolute bromance with the vicious dictator of Russia and hosted the strong man dictator from Hungary at his posh Florida resort. In fact, if there was one candidate to avoid for fear of turning our country into one of those countries, it would be the guy Trivett is supporting. The scare tactic of losing the right to vote if we choose not to is blindly moronic. One of the choices an informed citizen might reach is that neither candidate is worthy of the precious vote he/she has. That is why million of people vote locally and leave the presidential slot open. Millions of others write in name, even such as Jesus Himself. I guarantee that Abby and Hibbs would both condemn writing in the name of Jesus because that is not who they want elected anyway. I also wish the NAR would stop abusing the Parable of the Talents. Our vote is not "talents." That is a biblical absurdity. Jesus did not tell this parable as a lesson for us to vote for Doanld Trump 2000 years later. We are not being wicked and slothful by deciding to not vote for either evil. That is insulting. By the way, it is ridiculous to declare that not voting guarantees that the unjust will rise to power. The unjust can always rise to power, voting or not. What Abby is trying to say is that her boy might not rise to power if you do not go out and vote for him. So, she is trying to guilt you and manipulate you into voting for him. Do not fall for this political huckster.
"In fact, not only will this talent be taken away, but there are consequences for not actively participating when God has called us to be the light of the world. When the people of Judah were to be taken away into captivity by the Babylonians because of their sinfulness, the prophet Jeremiah not only warned them of what was coming, but he made it clear that their wickedness had brought destruction on them. However, the people were deceived by false prophets.
We as a nation have sinned greatly by the things we've allowed to come into society, and instead of speaking up about it, Christians have just lamented over "the good old days." Yet, it is the people of faith who should've been sharing the gospel to see transformation happen. Instead, we have accepted the indoctrination of children, the murder of unborn babies, the use of illegal substances and the degradation of the family unit and have called it "loving." Lamentations 4:12-13 tells us, "The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem. This was for the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who poured out in her midst the blood of the righteous." - Abby Trivett
Israel was not carried off to Babylon because they refused to be a light for the world. How biblically ignorant. Israel was plundered and taken into captivity as a fulfillment of what God decreed all the way back in Deuteronomy, when He warned them the curses for disobeying His law. Their wickedness was because they worshipped idols and had wicked kings. How ironic that Abby laments about the false prophets of old while she works for a fake media platform that only platforms false prophets! And please, stop comparing ancient Israel to America! This is not and never was a Christian nation! The majority of the Founding Fathers were deists. George Washington was a third-degree Mason, not an evangelical. Thomas Jefferson rewrote the bible to remove the miracles of Christ and any reference to His deity because he did not believe He was the son of God. We are the light of the world through the gospel, not our carnal votes. We are certainly NOT the light of the world by defending a reprehensible man as the second coming of various biblical figures and insisting that half the country is going to hell because they do not vote for him. Or that 100 million more people are actively sinning against God and will face the unquenchable fires for not voting at all. That wickedness is the pure darkness beloved.
"The false prophets kept telling the people that there was nothing to worry about; God surely would not bring destruction on His people. Why would they need to take action and change course? In the same way, sitting out of voting is acting passively, believing nothing bad could ever happen to our nation and that it doesn't matter who wins. It absolutely does. Christianity Today's claims that "Not voting may be the best way for for many Christians to to heed their consciences and the promptings of the Holy Spirit" is part of this false hope that nothing catastrophic will ever happen. This claim rests under the assumption that persecution to the First Amendment will not come. However, with one side actively promoting socialistic ideology, we have already seen the fruit of this agenda at work. Verse 13 in Lamentations 4 should also ring as terrifying for us: "This was for the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who poured out in her midst the blood of the righteous." It was the religious people, the leaders in this instance, who had the blood of the innocent on their hands. Christians are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We cannot lead people toward deception and believe that God does not care about what we do." - Abby Trivett
The NAR just doesn't get it. Just because you have compromised what you pretend to believe in does not mean that people who have not are "passive." That is a juvenile conclusion. Perhaps Abby has just determined that Donald Trump is the lesser of two evils. That would at least be spiritually and intellectually honest. What never crosses her wicked heart and mind is that someone else might decide to not want to vote for any evil, no matter how lesser some might have evaluated it to be. There is no danger to the first amendment and that scare tactic is inane. The government will not allow the theocracy the NAR thinks it wants but that is not a challenge to the freedom of religion. The "socialism" boogey man is equally inane and non-scriptural. We already have many facets of our government that are socialist based and many of the teachings and ministry activities of Jesus were as well. It is only human arrogance that assumes God has ordained their version of government or economic system. The truly sad thing is to watch NAR folks like Abby Trivett dance around the truth and never see it. The Lamentations verse applies to HER! She represents the "religious" people! The false prophets are associates of hers! Charisma platforms nearly every false prophet operating today. The absolutely hysterical notion here is her belief that leading the church to vote for a man who lied over 30,000 times the last time he was president is leading them "away" from deception. You cannot make up this level of silly gaslighting. This is the man who this year trafficked the lie that Haitians, who are our brothers and sisters, were eating people's pets in Ohio. So, you are right Abby. God cares very deeply about what we do and say. In fact, the bible says we will be held to account for every careless word but I would not seek solace in that verse if I were you.
"Christianity Today's cop-out of not voting because "His omniscient use of imperfect people in his redemptive work is hardly comparable to me voting for a deeply flawed candidate-- underscores all the other issues we are also voting for. We vote for senators, and state and local representatives. These are the people who will have an impact on our everyday lives. In Florida, Amendments 3 and 4 revolving around marijuana and abortion are reason enough to get out to the polls to keep these dangerous schemes from infiltrating the state. God placed us in this nation for a reason. If we do not steward it well by voting in the people and policies that will bring revival to our land and the world, then we cannot expect that right to someday be there when we most desire it." - Abby Trivett
Please stop with the fatalism. You were born here. God did not place you here so you could vote for Donald Trump or anyone for that matter. That is so ignorant to who He is and what His word says. God does not need our help, Abby. He does not want it. He is God, all by Himself. You think that revival will come if we all vote for a man with three wives, a porn star, who doesn't pay his bills, steals from charities, grabs women by their genitals, was convicted of rape and doesn't think he has to ask God for forgiveness for anything? Seriously? Sadly, you also think that a man with that resume will somehow have great policies for you too? Maybe you should spend less time writing political articles and more time reading the bible.
Beloved, the Republican Party is running scared and is dispatching the NAR apostate church leaders to try and spiritually bully and guilt church folks into voting for their guy. Secondarily, they are doing the same to anyone who may decide to not vote at all. They pretend that the choice to not vote is somehow less righteous. That it is somehow lazy as opposed to informed. They do this because they are desperate. So, they send out heretical idiots like Jack Hibbs, who has already consigned Democratic voters to everlasting and unquenchable fires, to intimidate non voters by accusing them of sinning. As said, utterly vile and disgusting. Still concerned they also send out Abby Trivett armed with scripture she clearly does not understand to parrot lame and unbiblical NAR talking points as if they are somehow revelatory. They are not. They are absurd political heresies is all. Be not deceived or bullied beloved. Pray and vote or pray and do not vote. Mark and avoid political hucksters and hirelings like Abby Trivett and Jack Hibbs.
