None Come To The Father

The world casts a shadow

A pall over our soul

With a diminishing quality to it

Designed to make us feel, sense

A fading into the background of life

Obscured paths, unknown trails

Trees encroaching with dark branches

Choking the sunlight - murky becomes the way

There are multiple ways!

Take a path, any path!

All that matters is the intent in your heart...

Deceitful above all things!

Beyond cure!

Who can truly know?

But God...

He knows and is

There is only one way

It is past the lies of your heart

And of this world

And past the lies in your heart about this world

And past the lies of this world, hidden in your heart

The lamp is only to my feet

Why Lord, why can't I see more!

Faith is the answer and it only needs to see...

The next step

The world casts a shadow

A pall over our mind

Shades of grey

In a world of black and white

Compromise is easier

In the grey of life

In the middle ground of political correctness

In the malleable clay

Shape it anyway you like

The truth shall dance for you

But God...

He said the truth?

Don't sell it

Don't prostitute it

Compromise is a grey escalator

Shades designed to make sin seem less

To ease the trip to hell

Set us apart oh Lord!

Sanctify

Sanctify

That is what the truth shall do before it sets you free...

The world casts a shadow

A pall over our heart

Darkening the life before us

The despair of the world

The solutions of the world

Cope, cope it says

Live with your problems, don't solve them

Lay your life down, there are plenty of altars

Of fame and fortune

Of education and careers

Of lust and the lie of human love

Sacrifice yourself upon them...

Make them your life...

But God...

Abundantly He said!

Abundantly He promised!

Not an abundance of misery and suffering

Lay down your naive offerings

Walk away from the false altars of this world

He was the sacrifice

The lamb and He laid down for you

The final sacrifice

He is the light piercing through the shadow

To make your paths straight

The way

He is the clarity before the compromise

The potter for the malleable clay

The truth

He is the worthy lamb, slain so we may live

The abundance in a world of scarcity

The life

The peace none can replace

Grace, amazing grace
