We have a few things to unpack here. The Bible does not have a second class view of women. It has different roles for men and women. The emasculation of men is a direct result of men and women not adhering to their proper roles. Once again though, these are things that we choose to do in our flesh. I am not sure what he means by the masculinization of God but again this highlights how the world wishes to recast God in their own image. It is nothing but pride. It is the same sin as Lucifer wanting to ascend to the seat of the Most High. It is the same sin of Adam and Eve wanting to be like God. It is not therefore surprising that someone who clearly believes what the world believes would view even the gender based assignment of God as offensive on some level.
The final item here however is financial corruption. I wish he had spent more time explaining the things he saw. I am sure as he was neck deep in the Christo-business world, he would have eye opening tales. He is of course correct. There is rampant financial corruption throughout Christianity. Kong Hee in Singapore was just convicted for stealing 50 million dollars of congregant monies to promote his wife's secular music career. Mark Driscoll has yet to apologize for stealing $200,000 of tithe money to promote his book. Local churches teach such abhorrent tithing principles. The sheep are slaughtered if they do not bring the preacher 10% of their money before they pay bills or address medical concerns. There was a report recently of a woman in Kenneth Copeland's church who refused medical treatment and instead just kept giving more and more to Copeland's church believing God would heal her. She believed it right up until she died. Creflo Dollar and his 70 million dollar Learjet. Hillsong's million dollar international enterprise. We could go on and on and on. The larger point however is that these abuses are not overlooked by those not saved. Those who are in Christ excuse them far too easily, making a mockery of God and His Gospel. Those who are not in Christ however see the abuses for what they are and as Jahaziel says, it is corruption pure and simple. He concludes:
You get the drift. So YES I will go on, and I will not be silent as some have asked -- my integrity will not allow me to be so passive against mass corruption. In all love. J"
Yes, I get the drift. It is a sad story Jahaziel. It is a sad story of someone who was sold a false bill of goods at the age of 19. Sold a false Christ. Sold a Christ that has made him money but left him so poor spiritually that he now embodies the people Jesus warns us about in Matthew 7:23.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' - Matthew 7: 21-23 (ESV)
Jahaziel walks away before he can stand before the Lord and act incredulous. He spent twenty years in the organized church and met many great people. He learned many great principles. But he never knew Jesus Christ. How profoundly sad is that beloved? What does it say about how we teach and reach our youth today? Jahaziel woke up one day and unlearned everything he had been academically taught. The church taught faith without the person we place our faith in. The world taught him doubt. Now he is like those that our key verses speak about. He has deceived himself. He thinks he is wise within the age he finds himself in. He fancies himself enlightened when the reality is he is walking in complete darkness. For the wisdom and enlightenment is only from this world and it is complete folly to God! He is caught in his own craftiness and you can see it in his own words. The Lord knows the thoughts of the enlightened and they are futile. Let no one boast in man as Jahaziel has just done. Let us stop leading people down the broad path that leads only to destruction. Everything is ours beloved. Life and death. The present and the future. All is ours, and we are Christ's and Christ is God's.
Pray for Jahaziel that he might actually come to know the Lord Jesus and not the cheap knock off he has been sold. How deep is the darkness he now walks in. How much damage has been done only God truly knows.
