Darren Wilson --Butchering Revelation to Fit His Carnality

2) They are actually wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked.

3) They are unsaved as evidenced by Jesus counsel to buy refiners fire so that their ailments could be healed.

Yet to Wilson, the lukewarm are just not being honest with God. Their Facebook status goes to "acquaintance" instead of "friend." Wait a minute then. Who is unsaved to Darren Wilson? According to this teaching -- no one! As long as you are in a church, you are just striving to forge the best friendship you can with Jesus. Sometimes you are hot hot hot, and other times you are just brutally honest with Him that you are frigid. What is the "cure" for lukewarmness according to Wilson? Just being honest with your pal Jesus. The sadly ironic thing here is the list above provided in the context of the key verses define Wilson and the seeker friendly theology he sells. Like the modern day Laodicean Church, Darren Wilson fancies himself rich and prosperous; needing little. When he is able to sell his heretical movies to the masses of deceived goats he convinces himself it is the blessings of God instead of the consent of the unsaved. It is the same reason why Joel Osteen can pack 50,000 a week in Lakewood. It is not the blessing of God but rather His judgment beginning on a backslidden church. Wilson does not realize he is pitiable, wretched, poor, blind, naked and quite possibly unsaved. The Laodicean church is all around us today beloved and their problem is not that they are not best buds with Jesus. It is that they are best friends with the world and play church on Sundays. So why is it better to be cold than lukewarm? Let us first turn to Gill's Exposition on the Entire Bible:

"I would thou wert cold or hot; which must be understood, not absolutely, but comparatively; and not that it was an indifferent thing to Christ whether she was one or the other; but he alludes to what is natural among men, it being generally more agreeable to have anything entirely hot, or entirely cold, than to be neither; and so uses this phrase to show his detestation of lukewarmness, and that it is better to be ignorant, and not a professor of religion, than to be a vain and carnal one; Christ desires not simply that she might be cold, but that she might be sensible of her need of spiritual heat and fervency."- Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

At least the cold might eventually desire the warmth and light of the heat. The cold might still realize her need for warmth and light. The lukewarm has deceived itself into thinking that it is warmth and light when it is most certainly not. Jesus taught this in the Gospels when he said that how deep was the darkness of someone who has convinced themselves that their darkness is actually light! That is the point beloved. The church at Laodicea had convinced themselves that they were saved when they were not! Just today I saw three different clips from the recent worship portion of services at three different mega churches. One was Old Time Rock and Roll. Another was Purple Rain. The last was a medley of 1990's sitcom songs. I kid you not. During worship. Those are churches that are pitiable in their action. Naked in their shamelessness. Blind in their carnality. They need the refiner's fire. They need to abandon the false jesus they have created. So does Darren Wilson:

"The lynchpin was always the verse quoted above, and the meaning was heavily implied--if you're not all in with God, then He's got a problem with you." -- Darren Wilson

Yes Darren. You almost tripped over the Gospel. There is no partial salvation beloved. When we stand before Christ, 75% in will not cut it. We cannot even stand before Him at 99%. If we are not all in, we most certainly do have a problem. That problem is a place that Darren cannot fathom in the depths of his wickedly deceptive heart and it is called hell. To Darren, his loving false jesus is there to serve him and woo him, not condemn him. After all, a loving fake god viewed through the lens of friendship would never send his own friend to hell! Right?

Wrong. Friendship must start with Lordship. That means your life is surrendered to His. That means we pick up our cross daily to follow Him. That means we lose our life for his. That is anti-seeker friendly. In the seeker friendly minds of Wilson, God is there to augment our life, not save it. All those pesky, troubling verses that don't fit into this candy box of sweet nothings? We will just butcher them to fit our poisonous beliefs. These are evil and wicked teachings beloved that will lead people straight to hell. God is love but He loved us so much He sacrificed His only Son. Not because we are friends but because He is Lord. He is merciful. He is grace. The Words He wrote to the Church at Laodicea serve as a warning to us today. I pray people are listening to that warning instead of the ongoing heretical nonsense from people like Darren Wilson.
