How much less do you think you will hear it if they repeal the Johnson Amendment? If churches were allowed free reign to preach politics every week, how much damage will be done to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ? Will it be the death knell for the Gospel? I do not blame President Trump. He has been made a messiah by a church that is more interested in their citizenship is Sodom than they are with their citizenship in heaven. He will apparently give them everything their carnal hearts desire and it is not God. It is not His Gospel. He will pass laws to grant favoritism towards Christians over other religions and while the false church celebrates, this is not the Gospel. He promises to destroy the Johnson Amendment and the false church celebrates.
The true church of Jesus Christ cringes beloved. It weeps in despair over the cause of Jesus Christ and His Gospel because we can see this for what it is. It is the destruction of the Gospel. Every breath wasted from the pulpit preaching about the politics of this world is a chance to proclaim the premise, witness and promise of the Gospel wasted by the people God called to bring the Gospel to the lost. There is only one true Messiah beloved. He is coming back. He will be the final judge. Yet even He wondered in seeming sadness whether He would even find faith on earth when He returned. While we wonder with Him, today let us recommit to the Gospel of the Kingdom over the politics of Sodom.
