The past lingers like shadows on your soul

You catch a glimpse but it is gone

Faded peripheral vision

But clear for anyone else to see

Like a tattoo, permanent

It can be covered up but the reality of what it was never changes

There for all to judge erroneously

There for all to condemn out of context

Shadows on your soul that have moved on

While the world mocks

Derides

The sum of me in the mind's eye"

Of someone who barely knows themselves

Casting boulders from glass mansions

Let him who is without sin?
