God sent Donald Trump to wage war against destructive spirits! Can Donald Trump be the fulfillment of the Isaiah 45 prophecy? Donald Trump shall become the trumpet! Biblical numerology predicts Trump will usher in the Messiah! Donald Trump is Elijah! Donald Trump has been led to Jesus Christ! He is a baby Christian!
These are all legitimate headlines of stories about Donald Trump across Christendom during this election season. Everything from false prophecies to false claims, while the church goes gaga in supporting a man so blatantly against everything Jesus taught it has made the world pause and notice our hypocrisy. Three times married? Hey we all make mistakes. Bragged and joked about his previous adultery in his first two marriages? Hey who has not sinned? On tape laughing about moving on married women like "b*tches" and grabbing them by their genitals because he is famous and rich? Oh now, boys will be boys, even if they are 59 years old! Fifteen women now claiming he did exactly what he bragged about to them? You weren't there! They just want their fifteen minutes of fame! Pending trial for suckering people through Trump University? He is being targeted for wanting to build a wall! Pending trial for raping a 13 year old? Bill Clinton! Look at Bill Clinton! Said he doesn't need to ask God for forgiveness? He is just a baby Christian; where is your mercy! Using any scheme possible to not release his tax returns or apparently pay any taxes? Don't be hating his genius! Mocks immigrants, Muslims, Mexicans, women, and the disabled? You know you really should be praying for him! Attacks the parents of a dead serviceman? Judge not lest ye be judged! Yeah, he is a wrecking ball all right. A wrecking ball that is destroying the witness of the church. So I am going to add one more prophecy/observation/consideration for the body of Christ now that we are four days out from this election.

As the key verse reminds us, sometimes God gives us over to our stubborn hearts. Sometimes He says, "You want to follow your own counsel so badly? Go right ahead!" That seems far more likely than God using Donald Trump as He did King Cyrus. You want to align yourself with a man who bragged as a 59 year old man about going into the changing rooms of beauty pageant contestants, even Miss Teen USA, so he can see them naked? Go right ahead! You want to be friends with a man who placed a gag order in the divorce agreement with his first wife so she couldn't speak openly about her charge that he raped her? Go right ahead! You want to lock arms with a man who mocks nearly every needy constituency of mankind? Go right ahead! Never mind about the commands for morality and not associating your light with darkness. Never mind the commands from the Lord to take care of the widows and orphans. The strangers and foreigners. Never mind about the commands from the Lord about redeeming the time with the lost and being salt and light to a dying world. Just never mind.
Yeah, he is a wrecking ball all right. The only question is what will be left of the church when he is done? Win or lose, far too many Christians have sold Jesus out for their thirty pieces of political silver. God help us.
