Charisma News - Propping Up Political Lies About Hydroxychloroquine

By       (Page 2 of 2 pages)   5 comments

"What followed were news stories about how hydroxychloroquine is somehow risky to take or that it doesn't work against COVID-19. And when a group of physicians, calling themselves "America's Frontline Doctors," held a press conference in Washington to educate about COVID-19 and tell the truth about hydroxychloroquine, they got the same treatment that the media has been giving the drug. Breitbart's video of their press conference accumulated over 17 million views during the eight hours it was hosted on Facebook, but when Donald Trump, Jr., tweeted it, his Twitter account was restricted for sharing "content that may pose a risk to people's health." Then all videos of "America's Frontline Doctors" were stripped from Facebook and YouTube, and their website was taken down." - Charisma News

Let's set some facts straight. The medical community had already looked into hydroxychloroquine. They had already determined it was not useful in treating COVID. It was not necessary to broadcast to the world just like they do not run around telling the world all of the other drugs that don't work. Once the President of the United States however, decides to brag about it from the Oval Office? Of course, they had to respond. That is responsive, not nefarious. What is nefarious however is when a press conference is organized by Tea Party Patriots, a political action group, to present a group of doctors that only formed weeks before and whose website was quickly taken down after the viral moment had passed. America's Frontline Doctors were a political group of doctors, not a medical group. One of the doctors has also spoken out about alien DNA and cysts being caused by sex with "spirit husbands." This is who you want to promote as being legitimate on a Christian website? Unreal.

'An avalanche of negative news stories began. These experienced, licensed physicians were called "quacks" and funded by "dark money." USA Today reported the doctors "don't know what they're talking about." The group's spokesperson, Dr. Simone Gold, told us, "You know, I thought I lived in America. You had a bunch of doctors talking literally about science, getting de-platformed. It's outrageous. Gold, with over 31 years of experience in the medical field, says she was then let go by a hospital for what it called the "embarrassing video." "I'm a board-certified emergency room physician. We are pretty hard to come by, and suddenly they don't need me. I mean, it's ridiculous. This is a complete loss of our free speech," Gold said. And all this over a drug many doctors believe is safer than Tylenol, Motrin and aspirin. "It works," Gold says about hydroxychloroquine, "We've shown it works and we're still pouring hatred on this medicine."' - Charisma News

They were funded by dark money! That's the entire point! They pretended they were just concerned Americans until it was revealed that they were created by Tea Party Patriots, branded by them, given a website by them and rushed out into this video by them. They then did what they needed to in order for the video to go viral, knowing full well it would be pulled as being wholly inaccurate. They did not care as it had already garnered millions of views and shares by that point and the president himself had tweeted it. The damage they sought was done. The poison they wanted to interject into the bloodstream of America was flowing. They quickly shut down the bogus website and as for Dr. Gold? She has spent the past few months lobbying to reopen our states and has been heavily involved in the "Save Our Country Coalition" funded by you guessed it - the Tea Party. It is good to hear that her political stunt cost her a job. Her knowledge of the Constitution seems as poor as her knowledge of medicine. Lying with impunity is not covered under free speech, sorry.

The truth is she has not shown this drug works because it does not. At least not for COVID. Once again though we must come back to the key verse. It is sad enough that this conversation about hydroxychloroquine and political operatives disguised as doctors even has to take place. It really is. It is sad that people can no longer properly discern that they must dismiss out of hand everything that does not align with their pre-decided worldview. It is not just willful ignorance. It is preferred ignorance. Many people in this country would prefer to hear they are right even if they are actually wrong. While I am amazed to see this mindset in the world, what is it doing in church? If we understand absolute truth, why do we prefer political lies? The answer beloved, while frightening, reveals who we truly are serving.
