Deconstructing the NAR Gatekeeper, Dr. Michael Brown

By       (Page 2 of 3 pages)   1 comment

There are some critics, that if I focused on them, before God, God is my witness, I am not taking His name in vain, I'm not bearing false witness, God as my witness, there are critics out there that if I gave my attention and energy to focusing on them, I could rip them to smithereens. I have seen lies, not opinions, lies posted. For example the lie, that I have endorsed Benny Hinn. That lie. The lie that I defended Todd Bentley, when I have been an arch critic. Just down the list.

I am going to go slow so Dr. Brown does not get confused again on this. When you go a man's television program for a week, breaking spiritual bread with him, you are defacto endorsing him. That was why people were so upset when Brown went on Hinn's show all those years ago. So, it is not a "lie" to say you have endorsed Benny Hinn. Not only that but at least on the radio show I was on Brown said that he considered Bennin Hinn a good brother in the Lord. So, tell me again, how it's a lie to say you have endorsed him? Come, rip me to smithereens Dr. Brown. I double dog dare you because you know you can't. I cannot speak for all of your critics but I can speak for myself. I have not uttered one false word about you. I also give you the benefit of the doubt on much. For example, I do not know who said you "endorsed" Bentley but I would not say that. You did organize the clown car of false Charismaniacal leaders that "investigated" him a few years back and declared him unfit for ministry and to that I say, amen. The problem of course is why you felt at that point in time an investigation was warranted. Was his first bout with infidelity back in 2009 not enough? Sure, it was but I would not be critical of Dr. Brown for his handling of Todd Bentley's moral failings. The cold hard reality however is that Todd Bentley should have been disqualified for his ministry absurdities. For punching a stage four pancreatic cancer victim in the stomach to "impart healing." For kicking little old ladies on the face with his steel tipped boot to "loose the Holy Spirit." For claiming to have his own personal angel named Emma. None of that was disqualifying until he slept with his secretary though. No responsible criticism for the gaggle of false Charismaniacal leaders who went down to Lakeland to anoint Bentley a prophet, including Bill Johnson! So, for me personally, it is the ridiculous inconsistency with which you treated the Bentley situation throughout the years that is the proper criticism. I have no doubt that Dr. Brown will land on the right side of the moral failure argument every time. But kicking people to heal them? Crickets. Sneaky squid spirits? Hey the bible speaks about leviathan, am I right? Jesus playing the sax? Well, God once spoke through a donkey, hallelujah! Once again, simply maddening.

Do they know they are lying or just believing lies. It doesn't matter, they are bearing false witness. I have seen horrific methodology, butchering of scripture. If I wanted to focus on them I could rip them to shreds.

Bearing false witness? Like your boss saying the advocates are organizing a coup of Mike Bickle? Or like when he said the victims were just being used by the devil? Is that what you mean? How about when you and Storms gushed about a man who lured a 14-year-old and 15-year-old into his bed? Was that bearing false witness? I mean, if you say it doesn't matter if one actually knows, right? Scripture butchering? Like when you recently used Isaiah 62 and Hebrews 12 to claim God wants to keep the IHOPKC prayer room open even as the Lord is laying waste to it? You mean butchering like that? Look, we can play these games all day long. I abhor the butchering of the bible, and Dr. Brown is learned enough to not engage in it regularly. As always, the problem is he endorses those who absolutely mangle the bible and gives them his credibility to keep doing so.

Not to mention the lack of love. Not to mention the severe mockery of beautiful things of the spirit and the defaming of men and women who are closer to Jesus then some of them might ever be unless they experience radical repentance in their lives.

I am 100% against mocking anything of God. I am not however beneath mocking false manifestations of the spirit that are leading millions astray. That includes the absurd Toronto Blessing and the Pensacola demonic outpouring, which Dr. Brown was part of. When someone mumbles sentence fragments and nonsensical words like "shabba", they deserve to be ridiculed. If Dr. Brown were at Mount Carmel, he would have rebuked Elijah for suggesting the false prophets of Baal's god must have been in the bathroom. What a lack of love, ugh. Notice what he does here though. He has essentially branded his critics and critics of random false Charismaniacs as unsaved. That is what is means when he says they need radical repentance in their lives. So, calling Benny Hinn false is out of bounds because it infers he is unsaved but anyone who criticizes him? Yeah, they apparently are a hell bound reprobate. Also, do not lose sight of the misdirect here. Citing what someone teaches and holding it up to the verity of scripture is not "defaming" someone. This characterization reveals more about what Brown truly believes then he intended to let on I believe. To him, his friends, ministry partners, and people he just "knows" are closer to Jesus somehow yet the key verses teach us that adherence to the will of the Father, which is only accomplished through doctrinal adherence, is the only way to define who is actually "closer to Jesus." Rolling around on the floor, being slain, babbling baby words, or weeping at altar calls week after week does not make you closer to Jesus. It just means you are more open to emotional manipulation than others.

But God has not called me to spend my time tearing down the hypercritics and there are some that I have said, I will interact with you. For all of us, let us focus on ourselves.

This is the disingenuous call Dr. Brown always makes after threatening to tear his critics to smithereens. Let us focus on ourselves, how pious. We of course should always focus on ourselves and our walk. We should walk out our salvation with fear and trembling. While that is true, it does not preclude us from speaking truth to unbiblical power. You see, what gets lost in the back and forth of discernment ministries and false teachers, or gatekeepers like Dr. Brown, are the actual victims. You see, there are always casualties of false teachers. Read Matthew 7 and realize that those folks who will say Lord Lord on the last day are victims of false teachers. People who will say, Lord Lord did we not go to Joel Osteen's church every week and think positively? Lord Lord did we now tithe like maniacs to Kenneth Copeland or sow our miracle last dollar to Mike Murdoch or Benny Hinn? Lord Lord, did we not believe that Mike Bickle was a prophet and we were ushering in your kingdom? Lord Lord, did we not pour our time and money into Jennifer LeClaire to be trained as a prophet-seer-whatever. Lord Lord, did we not allow Your prophet Todd Bentley to punch us in the stomach when we were sick. Oh, he wasn't a prophet? But Bill Johnson said he was! But Dr. Brown swore Bill Johnson was a good man of the Lord because he knew him personally! He said he knew him to the depths of his soul! Lord Lord, didn't I ignore the Ten Commandments as Joseph Prince told me to? Dr. Brown said he was a good brother in the Lord! The only words that will follow any of these sad sad pleadings will be, away from me, for I never knew you. That is why we discern Dr. Brown. So, come tear me to pieces. You tried to do that once to me on your radio program and I survived. If not, repent. Denounce Steven Strang and the unholy host of false teachers you have given aid, comfort and cover too. If not, you will continue to be marked and avoided as the bible commands.
