3. It appears Prosch was blackmailing Misty to stay in the relationship at some point. This is where the story gets quite convoluted. The report is that Misty has another secret, that Prosch had a recording of Misty confessing to. Prosch used this to blackmail Edwards, who agreed to move in with him for two years as she tried to find the recording on his devices. This is such a bad plot it would be rejected as a movie script because of its unbelievability. To be honest, the real story here is who the secret person is and why Edwards would succumb to this in such great fear of it becoming public. This blackmail appears to have gone on for years and during this time Prosch and Edwards would do drugs and drink regularly. I feel badly for Misty but do not lose sight that these are choices she was making while enjoying the spotlight of a very public and successful career. She recently resigned from IHOP after this story broke and while that is good, remember it was forced upon her.
While I do feel badly, I feel far, far worse for the victims of Mike Bickle and how Misty Edwards has tried to provide cover for her boss at the expense of those victims. Perhaps Bickle also had proof of the big secret. Perhaps Bickle is the big secret. God is going to reveal it beloved. You can be assured of that. Misty would do herself well to come out with the whole truth, repent and seek forgiveness. I pray someone preaches the actual gospel to her so that she might be saved. I do not hold out great hope as she has revealed that she plans to go to Israel and serve in prayer rooms there. What? So obviously she has learned nothing from this debacle. Instead of truly stepping down, she is just moving with her sins, lies and secrets to a different country to serve in the exact same cesspool of an unbiblical idea as the prayer room. How truly sad but expected since she was groomed by Mike Bickle since she was 17 and clearly very few people had her back throughout this entire ordeal. How truly sad.
