Lastly, for those who think this portends worse things to come they may very well be right. The Bible explains that contrary to popular seeker friendly preaching, Christianity is not a boon of earthly prosperity. We must carry our cross daily. We must die to self and crucify our flesh daily. We will lose friends and family over Christ. Real persecution is coming but it has nothing to do with baking a cake. This mess in Oregon is just a story of a Christian couple who without the blood of Christ are no better than the people that offend them so badly they cannot bake for them. It is a story of people who think screaming sinner is spreading the Gospel. It is a story now of people who have come along for the ride and do not mind lying to try and make this story look more favorably on the Kleins than it truly does. Does it have secular implications that as citizens we could be involved in? Absolutely but stop dragging Christ into this soup of utter carnality.
