It is only fitting that he concludes with one of the idol worshipping points for his belief system. Vallotton and Bethel are obsessed with angels as is much of Charismania. Angels do not need our activation to be in our lives. Beloved, what Kris is meddling in here he does not understand. The spirit realm is not something to be mocked and played around with. In the Book of Acts there were sons of a priest that went around messing in the spirit realm trying to cast out demons and it did not turn out so well for them.
Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims." Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. But the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?" And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. -- Acts 19: 13-16 (ESV)
I do not know how badly you must have been beaten to end up naked but we should not mess around with what we do not understand. Spiritual warfare is real. The angel sent to minister to Daniel fought for 21 days with the Prince of Persia. The reality is that the child growing up in your home may not be someone profound. Kris displays his biblical ignorance by saying they should be able to use the gift of discerning spirits but not everyone has all the gifts! Because he has been taught at Bethel by Bill Johnson he believes we can be taught the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is wrong. Perhaps he should read his bible more and maybe he would come across this verse:
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. -- 2Corinthians 11: 14-15 (ESV)
Beloved do not teach your kids to dabble in the spirit realm, call on angels, or virtually anything Kris Vallotton advises. Let them be kids. Teach them the word of God. Model Christlike behavior for them. Kris concludes by saying it is an honor to raise up children into the destinies God has over their lives, further revealing his heretical beliefs. The purpose driven church garbage has convinced the church that God has super-duper plans for everyone! We just need to figure them out! Nonsense beloved. The object is to represent God in whatever your life becomes. Raising your kids right. Never stealing at work. Giving back to your community in the love of Christ. I know, boring right? Only if you are comparing it to the hollow promises of the dream destiny thingy Bethel and Vallotton constantly sell.
These are dark days and we need to be girded up with the Word of God to fend off the attacks from wolves such as Kris Vallotton. They are coming and now, they are coming for your kids. They want to plant all sorts of supernatural carnality in their hearts, teach them to rely on whatever pops into their heads, and dabble in the spirit realm ignorantly. Protect them beloved. raise them under the admonition of the Lord. Do not fall for false conversions when they are not old enough to understand what they are committing to. This is not a joke. Even if Kris Vallotton continues to treat it as if he is a child, clueless what trouble he is getting into.
