Since You Left

By       (Page 3 of 4 pages)   No comments

Since I got that call

Since you left

It has been a dark year of winter

Since your smile I saw last

Why do we draw closer only once we have lost?

Fail to appreciate until it is gone?

Let us give flowers

To the living for a change

Appreciate all that God has given you

Before the mist is gone

Because last year seems like last night

When I could see you

And hold you

And realize everything you meant to us

Still not used to speaking in the past tense
