And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. -- 2Corinthians 11:12-15 (ESV)

For the uninformed, Darren Wilson is a filmmaker who has produced some of the most heretical pieces of garbage in my lifetime. Harsh? It should be beloved. I have little time or patience for people who make merchandise off the sheep of the Lord and in doing so help lead them away from Christ. Last week Darren was offering one of his movies to view for free each day as a way to generate business to his website. Before you dismiss him as non-consequential you must realize that millions of people have seen his movies and he is closely aligned with Bill Johnson and Bethel Church so his reach within the Christian community is substantial, especially within his targeted demographic of Christian youth. The above linked article was to the first day where he offered a free viewing of Finger of God, his first movie. After reading this we will face a serious question. Is Darren Wilson delusional, demonic of simply deceitful? Let us reason once more together:

"I never wanted to be a filmmaker, and I definitely didn't want to make my first film, Finger of God. I've told the story many times, but for those who have never heard it, I'll give you the short version of how it came about. My life is pretty much broken into two very distinct parts which hinge on a single, life altering event. On June 3, 2006, within one 30-minute period, I met an angel, and then I met God. Needless to say, it was a slightly intense half hour." -- Darren Wilson

Direct revelation is a staple within false teaching. This is not to say God cannot direct reveal Himself but the rate at which these charlatans claim it to be so is simply ridiculous. Joseph Prince claims every sermon he preaches is directly given to Him by God. Beloved, God has given us His final revealed will in His Word. The primary problems with nearly all of these false revelations are that they rarely line up with Scripture or they are extra-biblical. As if God forgot to tell us something in the bible but now is conveying it through Darren Wilson. Please. I cannot speak directly to Finger of God but I have sat through both volumes of Wilson's "Holy Ghost" franchise and can tell you that it is comprised of absolute deception. Wilson films "street evangelists/healers" who roam the streets of Utah using psychic parlor tricks on unwitting victims. They start with "God is showing me the letter "T" is there a "T" that means something to you. The idea being that nearly everyone has someone with the letter T in their lives. If not, the huckster will just say, "Maybe it's an "R." and thus the game is afoot. For "healing" they never go to hospitals, where we know sick people are and their efforts can be witnessed. Instead they travel to foreign countries and stalk unsuspecting people in public parks at midnight (yes this actually happened). They then start with "God is showing me some pain"; because who doesn't have some pain in their lives? They then pray and lay hands and through the power of suggestion they get the victim to admit they feel "better." In the first Holy Ghost Wilson filmed heretic Todd White perform the debunked "growing leg trick" on a fan at a Korn concert. This is where the victim claims that one of their legs was born shorter than the other and by using sleight of hand, White claims God is growing the shorter leg back. So Wilson's premise here for entering into the business of falsifying moves of God is that he met an angel and then God Himself. I can't wait to hear the details.

"Before this moment I had grown up in the church, had my good and bad days with God, become a college professor, and had pretty much settled into a ho-hum truce with the Lord. I definitely believed in Him, would say I loved Him, but if you were to drill down any deeper it would become clear that I didn't like Him very much. More to the point, I didn't trust Him. I was afraid of Him. I was convinced He was either constantly mad at me, or at the very least consistently frustrated with me. I tried to do just enough Christian stuff in my life so I wouldn't feel like a total spiritual loser, but I also had to make sure to keep God far enough away so He wouldn't become dangerous in my life. It was like a spiritual tug-of-war, and it was exhausting." -- Darren Wilson

What Wilson is describing here is someone who is unsaved. Most people who are unsaved believe in God. The tug of war Wilson describes is with sin, a subject he does not broach in his movie because he promotes the same sloppy agape love theology of Bethel Church. The notion that someone would say they love God but admit they do not trust Him? Sorry Darren but that is not love and that is not a picture of salvation. This is a recurring theme in Wilson's life and career as it is abundantly clear he never knew God and does not to this day. If he did, he would not make movies lying about Him.
