Solutionaries: People who bring wisdom, knowledge, experience and skill to pressing challenges in an effort to create positive change in our communities.

Cultural Architects: Leaders who shape culture and inspire collective reasoning that helps to create healthy, happy, safe and prosperous communities for the generations to come.

Kairos Conductors: Those who know the times and the appropriate action, act or attitude is in the times." -- Kris Vallotton

Spiritual gobbledygook. A futurist according to Vallotton is a false prophet. Someone who will say nice sounding benign prophecies and claim God told them it when He most certainly did not. Notice though that to the world loving Vallotton, society has a noble purpose to fulfill and a timeless promise granted unto them. Yet if we read the bible, we know that promise is destruction. This world will end and Jesus will return to judge the very nations that Kris Vallotton thinks have so much nobility. A "solutionary" appears to be the people just spoken about who will seek carnal answers to the world's carnal problems. This will be devoid of the only true solution they need -- the Gospel! Who cares if the community improves and everyone is still going to hell? The recurring problem of course is in championing this life and this existence instead of the eternal life God offers through His only Son. Collective reasoning? Seriously? Is there no level of pure carnality Kris Vallotton is not willing to stoop to? Once again, creating happy, safe and prosperous communities means absolutely nothing if they are all still hell-bound. Kairos conductors is just a term he made up. If he were to truly act according to the times he would stop teaching the church so falsely to create a carnal utopia that saves no one.

"There are profound advantages that we, followers of Jesus, have over those who have yet to experience His transforming power. But it should suffice to say that the most creative, inventive, ingenious, imaginative, inspired, brilliant, resourceful, innovative, advanced ideas should be flowing from the sons and daughters of God!"

If you're not yet convinced of your role in God's plan to demonstrate this on the earth, let's consider the distinct advantage you have as a born-again believer:

1. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit; consequently, the God who envisioned everything and spoke the world(s) into existence lives inside of us. (See 1 Corinthians 6:19)

2. You have access to the gift of wisdom, which is one of the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in the book of 1 Corinthians. Think of it like the wisdom of King Solomon on steroids. (See 1 Corinthians 12:8.)" -- Kris Vallotton

I'm so sorry that this is what you get out of Kris' teaching and Bethel as a whole. I have never been to Bethel.. But I have reaped fruit from their teachings and ministries since 2009. For 10 years I've taken their ideas and anyone else's whose teachings I've listened to not only to the Word, but to the Lord in prayer. Never once, in all these years have I heard them promote self or self worship. Jesus, Himself, talks about how the Kingdom is HERE because we carry it, now that He's reconciled us to the Father. Kingdom is simply carrying out His will... On earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus prayed that. Jesus also said that the way we judge a person (and I believe this also applies to ministries) is not by their doctrine but by the fruit. If you compare, over the course of Kris' ministry and the course of Bethel's existence how much good fruit has been born in people's lives to how many are trying to disprove Bethel... You'll see the fruit far outweighs the concerns. Jesus also said a house divided against itself cannot stand and so I have to believe that if there's fruit (every good gift comes from Heaven /God) it can't be the devil producing it. When I don't understand what part of the body of Christ is doing I remind myself 1. We are not to all look alike nor function the same... What would a body do with 5 hands but no legs, arms, or head? And 2. I should seek clarity, because I could be wrong and scripture tells me to think the BEST of my brothers and sisters along with thinking on whatever is true, noble, lovely, right, pure, admirable, and praiseworthy... He didn't say to look for the opposite of these things. Can Christians get it wrong? Absolutely. The progression of walking out salvation always includes mistakes or wrong beliefs but God never leaves us there. He is faithful to correct and He doesn't post articles on the internet to do it... He's very careful not to make us look bad to others. This isn't love and even if Kris/Bethel are your enemies you're commanded to love them and give to them. I see no scriptures under the new covenant that say "expose" anyone. Just my thoughts. Bless you and I pray your ministry will bring many into deep relationships with our Father.

Thank you for your message. It was kind in disagreement, something not always easy to accomplish. Suffice to say we disagree greatly on Bethel but allow me to point out where you may have misunderstood the points I was making.

Self-worship was a statement on modern worship as a whole, and Jesus Culture in part, which comes from Bethel. Take for example the song "How He Loves Us", which while not written by Jesus Culture was made more popular by them. This song is self-worship. It is not worship to tell God how much He loves us. It is arrogant and rude quite frankly. One of the lyrics declares that WE are His portion. That is backwards.

Bethel also promotes this outside of Jesus Culture and worship. They are ground zero for experiential Christianity which supplants scripture with personal experience. It is taught to the worship leaders and I have seen the video training. It is taught at their alleged supernatural school, where they violate the bible by pretending to be able to teach the literal gifts of the Holy Spirit. This was obvious when reviewing their curriculum.

I have seen zero good fruit born from Bethel. All I have is anecdotal stories of fruit, such as you attest to. To counter that I have testimony after testimony of people who escaped the cult like atmosphere of Bethel. Fruit without sound doctrine is rotten fruit. While we are taught that we will know false prophets and teachers by their fruit, that does not solely mean works, because works can be faked but doctrine reveals what your heart believes. Raed Gills Exposition of Matthew 7:16 for further clarification.

I agree a house divided will not stand. I do not view Kris, Bill, Shawn or Bethel to be brethren. They are in fact slaughtering my brethren. They do not belong in the sheep pen and deserve nothing but the working end of the shepherd's rod. He is not merely "getting it wrong" as we should always have grace for errors. If you refuse to change your errors however you have moved into the territory of being false. Vallotton's last book on greed and money was nothing but pure heresy.

While we all do not look alike nor serve the same function, we are all bound by doctrine. Romans teaches us that it is false doctrine that divides the body of Christ, not those correctly pointing it out. I am unsure where scripture says we must always think the best of our brothers and sister but again, Kris is neither. You correctly say this is not love because it is not. It is pure disdain for what he does to the sheep of the Lord. That is who I love. That is who I seek to protect. The verses about giving to our enemies deals with our personal lives not false teachers. You asked for scriptures regarding exposing false teachers:

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. -- Romans 16:17 (NKJV)

For an overseer, as God's steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. -- Tituse 1:7-9 (ESV)

So I thank you again for your response and I hope you take what I have to say to heart. This devotional spoke to very specific teachings and went line by line through what Kris had to say and at every turn I explained why he was wrong. I appreciate your experience but that is just your experience. I am sure you agree we should always let scripture guide our paths. Be well.
