Then I said: "Ah, Lord God, behold, the prophets say to them, 'You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.'" And the Lord said to me: "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. - Jeremiah 14:13-14 (ESV)

The bible says that stories we read in the Old Testament are there to guide us for what we will face today. The past is prologue. The scourge of false prophets and teachers started long before we drew breath. The modus operandi however remains the same throughout millennia because if a good scam works, why change it? The key verses take us back to sixth century when Jeremiah held court. He laments to God that the false prophets are filling the people's heads with puppies and rainbows. You shall not see the sword! I will give you assured peace! God responds reminding the weeping prophet that they are prophesying lies in His name. That He did not send them nor command them to speak. Therefore, they prophesy a lying vision, worthless divinations and the deceit of their own minds. Let me introduce you to Charlie Sham (p). Charlie pretends he is a prophet but he only speaks from the deceit of his own mind. He provides a lying vision and worthless divination. His business is prophesying lies in the name of Almighty God on behalf of the NAR, dominionist apostate church. The link above is to an article on Charisma News today extolling a new lying vision from Mr. Sham (p). So let us reason once more beloved:

"Destiny Encounters International's Co-Founder and President Charlie Shamp says he receives many prophetic words from the Lord. But, Shamp says, he will not release a prophetic word to the public on social media until the Lord tells him to do so. But here's one that is good news for the people of this country: Shamp says God told him that He "Will bring America back again."' - Charisma News

It must be comforting to have the Creator of the entire universe on your speed dial. I am imagining a red bat phone somewhere in the Sham (p) residence that lets him know that Jehovah is trying to reach him. Is anyone else mildly curious why Charlie's god likes to give him messages that he must sit on until the "release date." Is God somehow maximizing the hype? Like He has a new album that is going to drop? I want us to take a big step back and see this picture with proper perspective and context. God created everything beloved that we know and the indefinable things we will never know, yet He chills out with Charlie Shamp? This is His chosen vessel to deliver words He must have forgot to mention in the bible? Even if you bought that garbage on its face, what about all of the other false prophetic voices claiming that they too hear directly from He who spoke everything into existence? What about Benny Hinn, James Goll, Kris Vallotton, Shawn Bolz, Bill Johnson, Jennifer LeClaire, Patricia King, Cindy Jacobs, and Mike Bickle, just to name a very few. Exactly how much are we to believe God forgot to tell us in His word?

Let us apply this thought to this word Shamp is bringing us, which he claimed came directly and audibly from God. The Lord Almighty told Charlie Shamp that He will bring America back? Really? Back from where? Listen very closely beloved. If your "god" is always in alignment with your carnal political beliefs, chances are you are playing god in that scenario. God is no respecter of person. Two different people can have two wildly different opinions of the state of this country. One might believe the last three years have been nothing short of miraculous while the other might view it is a post-apocalyptic hellscape. The NAR dominionist sells the latter vision because the Republican Party wants to be back in power. So where does Charlie Shamp believe God needs to bring America back to? To the musings of the apostate church, he is associated with?

"This is good news as Shamp has a pretty strong prophetic track record"mainly because when he receives one, he says he goes on an extended time of fasting, prayer and consecration before the public ever hears about it. Timing, Shamp says, is a huge factor in the release of a prophetic word. His prophesying of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is one where timing was crucial. "I got that months and months and months before it was ever released," Shamp told Charisma News' John Matarazzo in a recent interview. "The date was very specific on when the Lord told me to release it. And when the Lord said release it, there was a timing to that. When you go back and look at that, now we know that the date when I released that, a year from that date is when Russia invaded Ukraine." - Charisma News
