I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. -- 1Timothy 2:12-14 (ESV)

John MacArthur broke the Internet last week by daring to tell a heretic to go home. This is not about Mac, who I have some differences with as well. This is even barely about Beth Moore anymore. This is about the ginned-up faux outrage by Christo-feminists who have seized on MacArthur's seeming rudeness and indifference to further propagate the lie that God is cool with women in authority positions of teaching and preaching over men in His church. He is not and He has told us why He is not. Let me explain briefly how we interpret the bible. The key verse is what is known as a clear and directive scripture. It contains no ambiguity. In fact, it does not need to be interpreted as much as it simply needs to be read. God even gives us His reasoning for His decision. This matter theologically is not like the once saved always saved debate that has scriptures that appear in conflict. There are zero opposing scriptures to the key verses. That means there is not one scripture that seemingly says the opposite.

Many people however do not like the key scripture because it says what women cannot do and in our "woke" generation, the gender lines are so blurred that everyone thinks they can do everything. So it becomes a badge of offense for many and they seek to scour the bible to try and dismiss the clear and directive key scriptures. I read one defense yesterday claim that the context of the Timothy verses was about marriage, therefore Paul is speaking only in relation to the marriage relationship. Except that is false. The section prior is about prayer and the section following is about church service. So before Paul launches into a discussion about qualifications for pastors and elders, he expressly forbids women from teaching and preaching with authority over men. I have also heard the tortured arguments that Paul was speaking only to the culture of the Corinthian church or that somehow he hated women. These are absurd conclusions born out of desperation to be disobedient and ultimately reject a core belief of Christianity, which is divine inspiration. Paul did not write the key verses -- God did. The link above is to the latest defense of Christo-feminism offered up by stark raving heretic Kris Vallotton. Beloved, I know there are well intended individuals on both sides of this discussion, but it should give you great pause if Kris Vallotton is your champion. This is one of the most egregious false teachers on the planet. Let us reason once more

"Many women wake up every day to a world of discrimination, simply because of their gender. But the most troubling aspect of this oppression is that the Church is often found leading it!Many believers have developed a theology that proactively uses the Bible to disqualify women from the most formidable roles of leadership, especially in the Church. I am appalled by the number of Christian leaders who are convinced that women are not as qualified, called, and/or gifted to lead as men. The argument for disempowering women is illogical, unscriptural and beyond-outdated! I'd like to propose that any stinking thinking that relegates women to a lower seat of power or authority is way past its expiration date and it's high time we get with the program that Jesus preached throughout His ministry. In light of my recent posts on Instagram and Facebook, in which I apologized on behalf of male leadership to Beth Moore and Paula White; two of the finest leaders of our time, for the recent public discrimination they faced, I wanted to take some time today to unpack some of my thoughts and responses to your questions." -- Kris Vallotton

Let us start with the notion that Beth Moore and Paula White are two of Vallotton's "finest leaders of our time." Moore is a disobedient heretic who preaches contemplative prayer. Paula White has fleeced God's flock for over five million dollars preaching her brand of false prosperity and is now a chief proponent of the NAR dominionist theology. So it is no surprise that Vallotton thinks they are great leaders but the only thing they are leading is the apostate church. Now, it is true that women wake up every day to discrimination from the world. There is a vast difference however in paying women less money for the same work and obeying the bible. Realize it is God who Vallotton is saying is discriminatory! Kris -- it is not about using the bible; it is about reading it. You should try it some time.

Then we see how Vallotton plans to deceitfully frame the debate. I do not know of any Christian leader who has made the argument that women are less qualified or gifted as men. None. Calling implies something from God so all I can say is that God does not make Himself out to be a liar so He has not called any women to a role He has forbidden. No one is making an argument for "disempowering" women. The only argument being made on this side is what the bible says. Now, Kris does not follow the bible and preaches the Bethel Experiential Christianity so it again is no wonder that he does not seem to care what the bible actually does say. Realize however if you find yourself on Kris' side in this argument you may want to distance yourself some.

"We have failed to realize that Jesus founded the Women's Liberation Movement. He taught women, spoke to them publicly, protected them from the religious community and empowered them to minister. Biblically speaking, while ten apostles huddled up in a house trying to save themselves, it was only three women (and John) who stayed at the Cross to comfort Jesus in the dark night of His soul. Although Jesus had been telling His disciples for months that He would be crucified and rise on the third day, it was only two women who visited the tomb on that fateful day. When the women found the tomb empty and encountered excited angels, they ran back to the village to tell the "world-changers" that the stone was rolled away and Jesus was gone. Yet only Peter and John even bothered to see if there was any truth to their story, while the rest of the apostles refused to believe. In spite of all of this, (in the name of the Bible) many Christians still disempower women and relegate them to the back seat of the bus." -- Kris Vallotton
