Act like people with good sense and not like fools. These are evil times, so make every minute count. Don't be stupid. Instead, find out what the Lord wants you to do. - Ephesians 5:15-17 (CEV)

The Contemporary English Version of the bible was written for people with lower reading abilities than most of us. As such I would not recommend using it unless necessary for overcoming deficits. Today however I am reminded that sometimes we need to just be plainer about what we are saying. Sometimes our desire to be even-keeled hides the true measure of outrage, disgust, or revulsion against which we speak. While the bible does speak about being kind and helping our neighbor nowhere does it command Christians to be the stupid people. Nowhere does it order us to be utter fools and appear as idiots. That is the end result of false theology. Many Charismatics still swear by the silliness of holy laughter. Dr. Michael Brown still swears by the Kundalini spirit of Pensacola. Realize that many people still follow Todd Bentley. How about Benny Hinn? Jennifer "Sneaky Spirit" LeClaire. Charlatan after charlatan, all of which are easily discerned by the lost world, are still beguiling many in the apostate church.

One of the major sources of false teaching that creates stupid people pretending to be Christian is the NAR dominionist movement. Please keep in mind this is a Christian conversation, not a political one. If you think the Republican Party is the better moral choice then knock yourself out. Just stop pretending God ordained it. When we confer righteousness where it does not belong, the hypocrisy is not lost on the world. That is the point of the key verses today. I pray we take the admonition from God today to heart. It is high time the church act like people with good sense and not like fools! The times are evil and time is running out on the world! Stop being stupid! Donald Trump is not the second coming of King Cyrus! The 2020 election was not rigged by the ghost of Hugo Chavez and Jewish space lasers are not causing global warming! Now, we can add one more idiocy to this ever-growing list. Tucker Carlson was not a "prophetic voice!" Since his firing last week Charisma News has gone overboard trying to convince its readers that Tucker was somehow being used by God and the devil fired him. No wait, demonic forces fired him. The above linked article is the latest attempt at recreating history, by claiming the spirits of this world were actually behind the firing. Please, stop! Let us reason once more and stop being the stupid people.

'In April 21, when Tucker Carlson spoke out against the demonic forces at work in our culture, he was soon fired from his anchor post at Fox News. But Jonathan Cahn, author of "The Return of the Gods," says Carlson wasn't dismissed by a news organization. Because of what Carlson said in a speech to The Heritage Foundation that day"among other mitigating factors"Carlson was fired by the fury of the gods that have taken over and attempted to demonize America. Carlson is a prominent conservative in America's national media that Cahn says rails against the agenda of these gods. In his speech, Cahn says Carlson "went even further in unmasking these gods or spirits. He basically said the forces that are taking over America, and the conflict we're in, isn't natural; it's spiritual."' - Charisma News

Should have seen another Jonathan Con job coming. Are you following this insanity? In the warped mind of the dominionist, such as Cahn, the Republican Party rails against the demonic forces trying to take this country over. Who are these forces? The Democrats of course! Now, are there spiritual components to everything? Of course, there are but to claim Tucker Carlson is your righteous warrior overlooks too much.

"Carlson had more than 3.5 million nightly viewers who listened to his "prophetic voice," and he certainly has become a danger to the establishment. "Tucker Carlson stood in their way," Cahn says in a recent video message. "If you had noticed, in more recent days he had been getting deeper and deeper. He was saying what was happening to America is something spiritual. ..."

There has been a great deal of speculation as to why Fox News decided to fire one of the most popular personalities in television history. Cahn says that he might have discussed topics that his bosses were uncomfortable with. But one of the more interesting reasons pertained to Fox owner Rupert Murdoch. "He [Carlson] was engaged to an evangelical Christian woman, and he [Murdoch] had her and Tucker over for dinner," Cahn says. "When his fiance' spoke and read from the Bible and spoke of Carlson as a prophetic voice, Murdoch was not happy about that. Murdoch was not comfortable with spirituality on Fox News and getting into the various issues of our culture [in such a manner]. "Not long after he [Carlson] broke off his engagement to that woman, he [Murdoch] fired Carlson. Beyond those reasons, there is something bigger, deeper and darker at work," Cahn adds." - Charisma News
