When the False Prophet Industrial Complex Issues Prophetic Standards

By       (Page 3 of 5 pages)   1 comment

What absolute nonsense. The reason why these false prophets have to create standards is they do not follow what the bible lays out as standards. It is real simple. If you prophesy and it does not come to pass, you are false and dismissed, never to be heard from again, while you slink away to repent for daring to speak on behalf of the creator of the entire universe when He had not spoken to you. Oh, and thanking Him that the punishment is no longer being stoned to death. No need for vetting words. Just hold people accountable, who are claiming to hear directly from God!

"WE BELIEVE that prophecies should first be tested by the Word, then if the prophetic word is not contrary to the Scriptures, it should be evaluated by other mature leaders. If a prophecy is given in the context of a local church, then mature leaders in that setting should evaluate it. If a prophecy is given in the context of a region or nation, then mature regional or national leaders should be invited to evaluate the word (see 1 Cor. 14:29; 1 Thes. 5:19-21). Those who refuse to have their words tested should not be given a platform." - Prophetic Standards

Of course, a word allegedly from God cannot violate His word. The rest of this is again the false authority paradigm. Mature leaders, local or regional, still have deceitful hearts. If I have heard directly from God, why do they get to decide if the word has value? If I prophesied against a church that was preaching a false gospel or stealing people's memberships over tithing, or immersing itself too far into the world, do you think the leadership would "approve" that word?

"WE RECOGNIZE that prophets receive supernatural revelation from God, but they are also dependent on other five-fold ministry leaders for the interpretation and application of the revelations they receive. It is the Lord's will that all these various ministry gifts, including the ministry of the prophet, work in harmony rather than independently. Only then will the Body come into full health and maturity." - Prophetic Standards

Says no scripture anywhere. It is true that all of these roles serve to bring the body into maturity but not that they must inter-rely upon each other as is being described. Read the Old Testament and see the direct words received from God for His people. God does not stutter and He is not vague. If he says repent, He means repent. There is no need to interpret, unless you are part of this false network that routinely assigns to God that which did not come from him. False prophets often speak in dream fragments that they insist was from God and then they try to interpret. It doesn't work like that.

"WE BELIEVE that all spiritual leaders, including five-fold ministry prophets, should be above reproach and should live a life worthy of their calling (see Eph. 4:1-3). Consequently, we believe that prophetic leaders whose lives violate the moral and ethical standards of the Word disqualify themselves from the ministry irrespective of how much influence or anointing they have." - Prophetic Standards

The standard is correct. Those who serve in God's church should be leading lives worthy of that calling. What I find interesting here is the admission that these people seem to think God will still "anoint" someone who is not living their life as He has outlined and that is patently absurd. So, they correctly discern that the person should be disqualified from ministry but still leave room that God would somehow be blessing that. Unreal.

"WE VALUE humility, integrity, and accuracy in prophetic ministry in order to protect the faith and trust of those who hear a word that is stated to be from God. It is a sacred thing to claim to speak for the Lord and, in keeping with the words of Jesus, to whom much is given, much is required (see Luke 12:48). And just as those who teach are held to a higher standard of accountability (see Jam. 3:1), so also those who prophesy should be held to a higher standard. They can have a powerful influence over people's lives for better or worse, because of which we urge sobriety and circumspection together with faith and boldness." - Prophetic Standards
